📋 Description

  • Lead end-to-end data analysis projects to quantify the impact of Upside’s platform on merchant partners’ profitability, customer acquisition, and incremental sales growth
  • Interface directly with merchant partners to understand their business objectives, answer complex analytics questions, and build trusted advisory relationships
  • Design and scale analytical frameworks that translate technical insights into actionable business recommendations for retail, grocery, fuel, and restaurant verticals
  • Develop and maintain automated reporting and dashboards using SQL, Looker, and Tableau to deliver consistent, scalable insights across merchant portfolios
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to craft clear, compelling narratives that communicate Upside’s technology value proposition to merchant stakeholders
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives to optimize Upside’s two-sided marketplace by identifying opportunities in merchant acquisition, retention, and engagement
  • Translate sophisticated data findings into simple, persuasive explanations for non-technical audiences including merchants, sales teams, and executive leadership
  • Pioneer new analytical methodologies as Upside expands into emerging verticals and geographies
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure data infrastructure supports merchant-facing analytics needs and product improvements
  • Manage multiple high-priority analysis projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals
  • Contribute to internal strategy by providing data-driven insights that influence product roadmap, go-to-market tactics, and merchant success initiatives
  • Support sales enablement by creating tools, playbooks, and training materials that empower account teams to articulate Upside’s value to merchants
  • Maintain a collaborative, ego-free work environment by actively listening, sharing knowledge, and integrating feedback from cross-functional teams
  • Ensure all analyses are grounded in rigorous methodology, data integrity, and clear attribution of incremental profit to Upside’s platform

🎯 Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative management consulting, data analytics, or a related role
  • Degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a field with a strong quantitative focus
  • Proven track record of using analytical and communication skills to distill complex insights into simple, compelling explanations
  • Strong project management skills with ability to drive end-to-end analysis and cross-functional projects
  • Experience leading analysis that directly influences business decisions and presenting findings to key partners
  • Proficiency in SQL for analyzing and organizing multiple large datasets
