📋 Description

• Senior ML Engineer at Saris AI Inc., responsible for building and owning the ML infrastructure that ensures reliability and continuous improvement of AI systems in the banking sector, including eval frameworks, prompt management, and model observability.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include shipping customer-facing AI features on a consistent cadence, defining and implementing team approaches to evals, LLM routing, prompt engineering, and model selection, building pragmatic quality standards, and contributing to ML technical direction by surfacing trade-offs and architectural options.
• Saris AI is an applied AI startup headquartered in San Francisco with additional offices in Montreal and Toronto, focused on transforming work in the banking industry through long-context reasoning, tool orchestration, and agentic decision-making, with real production agents already serving revenue-generating customers.
• In this role, you will gain deep experience in production ML systems for regulated industries, shape the technical foundation of a high-impact AI product, work alongside experienced founders and engineers, and directly influence how AI is deployed in high-stakes environments where reliability and compliance are critical.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in ML or AI engineering with a proven track record of shipping production ML systems
• Strong hands-on expertise with LLMs, prompt engineering, evals, and model routing
• Experience building tooling and systems that deliver real customer impact
