📋 Description

• Senior ML-Engineer role at FundraiseUp Inc., a leading fundraising platform trusted by global nonprofits like UNICEF and the American Heart Association, where you will drive impact by building and deploying machine learning solutions that directly influence donation conversion, user experience, and revenue growth across enterprise clients in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia.
• Develop and deploy ML solutions across diverse business areas including uplift models, recommender systems, and e-commerce mechanics using tabular data; design and implement LLM-powered features such as AI assistants, chatbots, content generators, and classifiers; build end-to-end ML pipelines from data preparation and training to API development and monitoring; work across the full LLM lifecycle including golden dataset creation, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and response evaluation; collaborate with 10+ product teams as part of an internal ML center of excellence, rotating between high-impact projects like optimizing donation amounts, upsell offers, and transaction classification.
• Join a tight-knit, high-impact product development team of 150+ engineers spanning Spain, Serbia, Poland, Portugal, Turkey, Cyprus, Georgia, and Armenia, where Russian is the primary internal language but strong English (B2) is required for occasional cross-functional communication; the team fosters a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture with bi-weekly engineering meetups, open dialogue, and a shared commitment to technical excellence and innovation.
• Gain deep expertise in production ML systems at scale, including classical algorithms (gradient boosting, CatBoost), modern NLP/LLM approaches, and MLOps practices; strengthen your ability to connect ML metrics (ROC-AUC, F1, RMSE) to business outcomes (conversion rate, LTV); advance your engineering skills in Python, FastAPI, Docker, CI/CD, and data engineering with ClickHouse and MongoDB; grow into a trusted ML advisor who can autonomously break down ambiguous problems, justify technical choices, and deliver production-ready solutions that create measurable impact.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on ML/DS experience solving real-world product problems in production environments
• Strong expertise in classical machine learning (especially gradient boosting algorithms like CatBoost) and modern NLP/LLM techniques, with solid grounding in mathematical statistics
• Proven ability to connect ML evaluation metrics (ROC-AUC, F1, RMSE) to key business metrics such as conversion rate (CR) and lifetime value (LTV)
• Advanced proficiency in Python for product-oriented development, including clean code practices, design patterns, and solid engineering culture
• Advanced SQL skills with experience building complex datasets in ClickHouse and working with MongoDB; hands-on experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Airflow, Docker, Git, CI/CD)
• Demonstrated autonomy in breaking down open-ended problems, selecting appropriate ML or non-ML approaches, and delivering solutions to production
