📋 Description

• Senior ML Engineer (LLM) role at Kiefer Inc. focused on advancing Sophea AI, a Greek-developed Large Language Model, with emphasis on Polish language capabilities and production-grade ML systems.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include LLM pre-training, training from scratch, fine-tuning, evaluation, inference optimization, building production ML pipelines, and optimizing model performance in areas like latency, throughput, quantization, and GPU utilization.
• Kiefer Tech, the technology arm of Kiefer Inc., combines 12+ years of engineering heritage from the Green Energy sector with cutting-edge AI and robotics, delivering sovereign AI infrastructure across Greece and the EU, with strategic collaboration with NVIDIA to advance technological sovereignty and real-world AI impact.
• The role offers deep technical growth in LLM engineering, production ML systems, and AI infrastructure, enabling the engineer to contribute to one of the most ambitious Greek-focused AI products while working in an engineering-first, high-autonomy environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with LLMs, including pre-training, training from scratch, fine-tuning, evaluation, and performance improvement
• Strong ML engineering background, including Python, PyTorch, Docker, and production ML practices
• Experience with model serving, inference optimization, quantization, GPU workloads, and frameworks such as vLLM, SGLang, NVIDIA Triton, TensorRT, TGI, or similar tools
• Ability to build production-grade ML systems, not only research prototypes, scripts, basic RAG applications, or high-level AI integrations
• Native-level Polish language proficiency
