📋 Description

• • As a Senior ML Research Scientist on the Pegasus team at Twelve Labs, you will drive cutting-edge research in multimodal foundation models that enable human-like video understanding, directly contributing to the company’s mission of transforming how we interact with and analyze media through advanced AI.
• • Your day-to-day will involve designing and executing rigorous experiments on complex challenges such as temporal segmentation, multi-hour context modeling, structured output generation, and training strategies from pre-training through reinforcement learning, while collaborating closely with ML engineers to translate research into production-ready systems.
• • You will join a globally distributed, goal-oriented team headquartered in San Francisco with a strong APAC presence in Seoul, backed by over $110 million in funding from top-tier investors including NVIDIA’s NVentures, NEA, Radical Ventures, and Index Ventures, and supported by access to advanced hardware like NVIDIA B300s.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in multimodal LLMs, large-scale distributed training, and AI-assisted development tools, while strengthening your ability to communicate research findings, shape technical direction, and mentor peers through collaborative problem-solving and hypothesis refinement.
