📋 Description

• Senior Network Engineer role focused on building and securing the network infrastructure for Kraken, a leading global cryptocurrency exchange, to support its mission of accelerating crypto adoption and financial inclusion.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and evolving enterprise network access controls, managing infrastructure as code at scale, designing and maintaining zero-trust network architectures, monitoring physical and cloud infrastructure, coordinating with development and security teams, and mentoring others on security best practices.
• Part of the Core Infrastructure Engineering team, a highly dedicated group responsible for the entire network infrastructure of one of the world’s top crypto exchanges, operating in a fast-paced, innovative, and fully remote environment across 70+ countries.
• Opportunity to deepen expertise in cloud networking, security automation, and zero-trust architectures while contributing to the resilience and scalability of a mission-critical financial platform in the crypto space.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of network engineering background including offensive/defensive security
• Deep experience in public (AWS, Azure, or Google), private, and/or hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Nornir, Napalm, Terraform, Ansible)
• Proficiency in network and security design using industry platforms such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba
• Experience managing intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and implementing defensive security systems against internal and external threats
