📋 Description

• Senior Paralegal, Employment role at OpenAI, Inc. in San Francisco, providing strategic support to the Legal team on employment-related matters in a high-growth, AI-driven environment.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting employment investigations and litigation, managing employee lifecycle documentation (onboarding, offboarding, mobility), collaborating with People, Compliance, Recruiting, Finance, and Security teams, and building scalable legal systems and processes.
• The Legal team at OpenAI navigates complex, novel legal issues in AI, drawing on diverse expertise in technology, venture capital, M&A, employment, and tax law to support the company’s mission of ensuring AI benefits humanity.
• The role offers opportunity to lead process modernization, drive compliance initiatives, manage cross-functional projects, and develop deep expertise in employment law within a cutting-edge technology organization.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a paralegal
• In-house paralegal experience at a fast-paced innovative technology company
• Deep familiarity with U.S. labor and employment law
• Experience supporting employment litigation, including discovery and coordination with external counsel
• Familiarity with compliance matters such as audits, government reporting, and internal investigations
• Strong organizational skills, collaborative communication, ownership mindset, and enthusiasm for AI technology
