- • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of UK payment schemes at Griffin. You will be the go-to authority for FPS, BACS and CHAPS, executing same-day CHAPS transfers, processing BACS Direct Debit indemnities and ensuring every exception is investigated, reconciled and resolved before it impacts a customer.
- • Sit at the nerve-centre of a bank that is re-imagining finance infrastructure. Every payment you release or reject directly shapes the experience of fintechs and brands embedding banking into their products. Your queue management keeps millions of pounds moving and your incident triage protects Griffin’s reputation for reliability.
- • Build and maintain the data layer that powers operational governance. You will design SQL queries, spreadsheets and dashboards that turn raw payment logs into MI the Board, auditors and regulators trust. Your analysis will spotlight bottlenecks, quantify risk exposure and justify process changes with hard numbers.
- • Represent Griffin in the wider payments ecosystem. You will respond to industry attestations, join Payments UK and Pay.UK forums, and translate regulatory bulletins into clear guidance for Product and Engineering. Your voice will influence how new standards are implemented and how Griffin differentiates itself.
- • Drive continuous improvement like an owner, not a ticket-taker. You will map current-state workflows, run root-cause sessions after incidents, pilot automation scripts and negotiate fee structures with banking partners. When a process is painful, you will redesign it, measure the delta and share the win across the bank.
- • Own customer billing with forensic accuracy. Each month you will generate invoices for hundreds of fintech clients, validate usage data against core banking records, chase overdue balances and reconcile collections. Your spreadsheets will be the source of truth for Finance and the starting point for pricing experiments.
- • Champion quality assurance at scale. You will write test cases, peer-review colleague outputs and run spot-checks that catch errors before they reach customers or regulators. Your QA playbook will become the standard against which new analysts are trained.
- • Collaborate asynchronously across time-zones with a remote-first team that trusts you to decide when and how you do your best work. You will pair on complex investigations, share loom videos to explain edge-cases and document tribal knowledge in Notion so it never lives in one person’s head.
- • Contribute to a culture where psychological safety and operational excellence reinforce each other. You will give candid feedback, admit mistakes quickly and celebrate the colleagues who make your job easier. Your empathy will turn customer pain into product insight and team camaraderie.
