📋 Description
- • The Senior Payroll Associate at Deel is an experienced individual contributor responsible for owning payroll processing activities while guiding junior team members, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations for employees in India.
- • Day to day, the role involves overseeing payroll data processing, maintaining accurate employee records, verifying and reconciling salaries, hours worked, and deductions, assisting with Indian payroll tax calculations and filings, supporting employees with payroll-related inquiries, and ensuring compliance with Indian payroll laws and regulations.
- • Deel is a global all-in-one HR and payroll platform serving teams in 150+ countries, with a fully owned payroll infrastructure and AI-powered tools, backed by a $17.3B valuation and $1B ARR, processing $11.2B in payments in 2024 alone.
- • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in Indian payroll compliance, develop leadership skills by mentoring junior staff, contribute to process improvements, and gain exposure to global payroll operations within a fast-growing, innovative SaaS company shaping the future of work.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution
- • 3-5 years of experience in payroll or a related field
- • Strong knowledge of Indian payroll laws and regulations
- • Attention to detail and accuracy
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
- • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members
