• • Arbor Education is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior PHP Engineer to join their dynamic Engineering team. This pivotal role is instrumental in driving the successful development and implementation of high-impact features that advance Arbor's core products. You will play a key part in shaping the company's core systems and processes, while also devising and executing strategies to elevate product quality and reduce lead times across the entire engineering department.
• • This is a broad and challenging position, ideal for a collaborative and enthusiastic engineer who thrives on tackling complex problems and contributing to significant product enhancements. You will be a driving force in ensuring the technical excellence and scalability of Arbor's educational management tools, which are already utilized in over 7,000 schools and trusts, empowering staff and providing actionable insights.
• • A core aspect of your role will involve close collaboration with the Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, QA Engineer, and Product Manager. Together, you will brainstorm and architect solutions for new feature requests, ensuring a clear and comprehensive understanding of project goals and technical requirements.
• • You will be responsible for leading the creation of detailed technical documentation for all new feature developments. This includes crafting clear diagrams and explanations to facilitate a deep understanding of the project's architecture and functionality for all stakeholders.
• • A significant part of your contribution will be to drive the development and implementation of advanced testing strategies for new features. Your focus will be on ensuring the highest standards of test coverage, reliability, and robustness, thereby guaranteeing the quality and stability of Arbor's software.
• • You will demonstrate and apply your expertise in producing well-architected, efficient, and scalable code. This involves leveraging industry-leading design patterns, software engineering principles, and best practices to build maintainable and high-performing solutions.
