📋 Description

• Own the entire life-cycle of Flux’s user-facing platform beyond the editor—billing, authentication, onboarding, settings, and third-party integrations—so that every engineer, designer, and hardware creator can move from sign-up to shipping a board in minutes, not days.
• Architect and ship production-grade TypeScript services (Node) and React components that handle thousands of concurrent users, millions of API calls, and real-time collaborative sessions while maintaining sub-second latency and 99.9 % uptime.
• Integrate and continuously improve mission-critical external APIs—Stripe for payments, Firebase for auth and real-time data, and best-in-class analytics platforms—ensuring they stay compliant, secure, and cost-efficient as Flux scales globally.
• Build rock-solid onboarding flows that reduce time-to-first-schematic from hours to minutes by orchestrating progressive disclosure, guided templates, and contextual tool-tips that adapt to each user’s skill level and project complexity.
• Implement bullet-proof billing infrastructure that supports multiple currencies, usage-based pricing tiers, enterprise contracts, and self-serve upgrades without ever exposing sensitive payment data or interrupting a user’s creative flow.
• Design and maintain extensible REST and GraphQL APIs that power new product lines (AI autorouting, supply-chain intelligence, manufacturing hand-off) while remaining backward-compatible and discoverable through auto-generated documentation.
• Establish and evangelize observability standards—structured logging, distributed tracing, error budgets, and SLO-based alerting—so that any failure anywhere in the stack surfaces within seconds and is resolvable within minutes.
• Champion CI/CD excellence: containerized services, blue-green deployments, automated canary analysis, and one-click rollbacks that let the team ship multiple times per day with confidence and without weekend pages.
• Collaborate daily with product managers, ML engineers, and hardware domain experts to translate fuzzy requirements into crisp technical specs, rapid prototypes, and polished releases that delight both power users and first-timers.
• Document architecture decisions, runbooks, and best-practice playbooks so that future teammates can onboard in days, not weeks, and so that Flux’s institutional knowledge grows faster than its headcount.
• Contribute to an AI-first culture: experiment with LLM-driven code generation, automated test authoring, and self-healing infrastructure while sharing wins, failures, and lessons learned across the entire engineering org.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through pair programming, design reviews, and career-growth plans, raising the technical bar and ensuring that every line of code is readable, testable, and ready for global scale.
• Influence the long-term technical roadmap—evaluating multi-tenant strategies, regional data residency, and edge-compute options—so that Flux remains fast, compliant, and resilient as it democratizes hardware creation worldwide.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering with demonstrable experience shipping full-stack web applications to production.
• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React; ability to reason about performance, security, and maintainability across the entire stack.
• Proven track record integrating and maintaining third-party APIs such as Stripe, Firebase Auth, or similar at scale.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Firebase) and modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or equivalent).
• Exceptional debugging and cross-system troubleshooting skills, plus strong written and verbal communication for async, remote-first collaboration.
• Nice-to-have: prior work on multi-tenant SaaS, OAuth/JWT security models, observability stacks (Sentry, Datadog, Grafana), or 0→1 startup environments.
