📋 Description

• • As a Senior Platform Operations Manager at Coinbase, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational excellence and strategic execution of our core platform pillars. This is a unique opportunity to embed yourself within one of our three largest pillars – Product Foundations, Blockchain Platform, or Infrastructure – and directly contribute to building the future of the global financial system.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to act as a crucial bridge between central operations and the day-to-day execution within your assigned pillar. You will be instrumental in translating high-level strategic priorities into clear, actionable plans, ensuring that operational requests from central teams are not only understood but also meticulously managed from intake through to successful delivery.
• • You will own and manage the operating rhythm for your pillar, which includes overseeing critical planning cycles such as quarterly and biannual planning, facilitating reprioritization efforts, and ensuring the smooth execution of key ceremonies like Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), monthly reviews, and bi-weekly updates. Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of roadmaps and priorities within our project management tooling will be a key aspect of this role.
• • A significant part of your contribution will involve enabling more efficient execution for the pillar teams. This means proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes, optimize tooling, and enhance communication channels to reduce operational overhead and friction. Your efforts will directly empower these teams to focus more on innovation and delivery.
• • Driving continuous improvement is at the heart of this role. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including BizOps, Finance, Data Science, and Security teams, to identify and address systemic issues. By integrating feedback and lessons learned, you will help evolve our operational practices to be more robust, scalable, and effective.
• • You will also play a key role in facilitating budget planning activities. This involves coordinating headcount allocation, conducting ROI analyses, supporting pod planning, and tracking incident impact, all in close partnership with the Platform Owners. Ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and that investments yield maximum return will be critical.
• • Maintaining measurability and transparency across all operational activities is paramount. You will be responsible for keeping Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), maturity scores, and other operational metrics up-to-date. Providing timely, comprehensive, and insightful reporting to Platform Group (PG) leadership and other stakeholders will ensure alignment and informed decision-making.
