- • As a Senior Product Designer at PhotoRoom SAS, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of one of the world’s most widely used AI-powered photo editing platforms, directly impacting how over 300 million users create professional-grade product images across mobile, web, and API interfaces.
- • Your work will be central to driving product innovation and brand consistency, ensuring that design decisions not only meet high aesthetic and usability standards but also align with the company’s mission to democratize studio-quality image creation for entrepreneurs and enterprises alike.
- • On a day-to-day basis, you will lead end-to-end design processes—from user research and ideation to wireframing, prototyping, UI design, and design system contributions—collaborating closely with engineers to ensure designs are feasible, performant, and shipped with fidelity across platforms.
- • You will balance speed and polish by making pragmatic, impact-driven design decisions, leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate workflows while maintaining craftsmanship, and prioritizing features that deliver measurable user and business outcomes.
- • You will actively contribute to and evolve PhotoRoom’s design system, ensuring visual and interaction consistency across mobile (iOS/Android), web, and B2B API touchpoints, while advocating for accessibility, responsiveness, and platform-specific best practices.
- • Through cross-functional collaboration with Growth, Community, Brand, and Machine Learning teams, you will help define product concepts, participate in brainstorming sessions, and ensure that design solutions are coherent, scalable, and aligned with broader company goals.
- • You will mentor and inspire fellow designers through your portfolio, process, and communication, helping to elevate the overall design culture by sharing insights, giving constructive feedback, and championing user-centered thinking.
- • You will stay current with emerging design trends, AI-driven creative tools, and interaction patterns, experimenting with new methodologies to push the boundaries of what’s possible in AI-enhanced product design.
- • About the team or company: PhotoRoom is a profitable, remote-first company with over 100 passionate builders, backed by Y Combinator and Series B funding, serving both individual creators and global enterprises like Amazon, DoorDash, and Decathlon through its B2C app and B2B API.
- • The company fosters a culture of craft, innovation, and collaboration, offering flexible working hours, extended parental leave, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, with monthly reimbursed office visits in Paris for team connection.
- • In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow your expertise in AI-integrated design workflows, design systems at scale, and cross-platform product thinking, while gaining visibility into how design impacts growth, retention, and enterprise adoption.
- • You will achieve tangible impact by seeing your designs shipped to millions of users, refining your ability to balance creativity with constraints, and building a portfolio of work that defines the future of AI-powered creative tools.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a product designer with a strong portfolio showcasing recent mobile UI work, including mastery of typography, color, spacing, and responsive design principles.
- • Demonstrated ability to work within and contribute to design systems, thinking in terms of reusable components and scalable patterns rather than isolated assets.
- • Advanced proficiency in Figma, with working knowledge of graphic and animation tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, or After Effects.
- • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale to engineers, product managers, and stakeholders across functions.
- • Experience working in fast-paced, autonomous environments where speed and impact are balanced with craft, ideally including freelance work or early-stage product development.
- • Cross-platform design experience, capable of creating mockups and prototypes for mobile, web, and other digital interfaces.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary range of €70,000–€95,000 per year, plus stock options (BSPCE) aligned with company growth and long-term value creation.
- • Fully remote work arrangement with monthly reimbursed visits to the Paris office, enabling flexibility while maintaining team cohesion and in-person collaboration opportunities.
- • Access to cutting-edge AI and creative tools that accelerate design workflows, allowing you to focus on high-impact ideation and execution rather than repetitive production tasks.
- • Flexible working hours and a trust-based remote culture, supported by extended parental leave and a strong commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being.
- • Opportunity to work on a product with massive global reach—over 300 million downloads and 5+ billion images processed annually—offering unmatched scale and impact for your design contributions.
- • Inclusive and diverse workplace culture that values varied backgrounds and experiences, with active efforts to ensure equity, belonging, and representation across all teams.
