- • Own the core customer-facing product experience where employers and employees interact with health, pension, and insurance services, directly impacting usability, adoption, and satisfaction by transforming complex benefits workflows into clear, intuitive, and delightful interfaces that align with Kota’s mission to make benefits more accessible, valued, and global.
- • Lead end-to-end design ownership from early concept through shipped implementation for key web product areas, turning ambiguous problems into polished flows, interaction models, and reusable components while maintaining high craftsmanship and consistency across the platform.
- • Collaborate closely with engineering using modern tools like Cursor or Claude Code to prototype, iterate, and ship at high velocity, ensuring design feasibility and technical alignment without sacrificing quality or speed.
- • Elevate the design quality bar through rigorous critique, thoughtful collaboration, and advocacy for detail-oriented execution, contributing to product strategy, design system scalability, and the growth of a craft-driven culture that values precision and innovation.
- • Join a small but impactful design team early, working alongside an existing product designer to shape Kota’s design function, define future benefits experiences, and establish enduring patterns that scale with the company’s rapid growth.
- • Operate in a high-autonomy environment where ownership is expected from day one, empowered to make decisions, explore solutions, and drive outcomes without excessive oversight, reflecting Kota’s values of integrity, deep care, ownership, raising the bar, and playing to win.
- • Grow professionally by influencing product direction, mentoring peers through example, and refining skills in B2B, fintech, or information-dense product design, with opportunities to shape how insurance and retirement benefits are experienced by modern workers across Europe and beyond.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a product designer working on complex B2B, fintech, or information-dense products, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking, interaction design, and attention to detail.
- • Demonstrated ability to create, maintain, and scale design systems and reusable components, ensuring consistency and efficiency across product interfaces.
- • Comfort and familiarity working with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code for rapid prototyping and iteration, even without writing production code.
- • Strong systems thinking paired with meticulous execution — capable of balancing strategic vision with obsessive attention to micro-interactions and the last 1% of detail.
- • High agency, ownership, and autonomy; self-directed individual who takes initiative, seeks clarity, and drives outcomes without waiting for explicit direction.
- • Excellent collaboration skills, with experience partnering closely with engineers to scope, design, iterate, and ship features at high velocity while maintaining quality and alignment.
