- • As a Senior Product Designer at LoanCrate Inc., you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex mortgage workflows into intuitive, trustworthy, and enjoyable experiences for lenders and borrowers, directly contributing to the company’s mission of reducing the $11,000 average human cost per loan originations and saving lenders over $16B annually through AI-native automation.
- • You will own design end-to-end for core product areas, leading customer discovery sessions, shaping product direction with Product Management, partnering closely with Engineering to ensure design fidelity, and advocating for accessibility and design system excellence while balancing craft with delivery velocity.
- • LoanCrate is a remote-first, mission-driven fintech startup founded in 2020 that has powered over $85 billion in new home loans, fostering a culture of open communication, rapid learning, and fun while building AI-native tools that modernize outdated mortgage software.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in AI-native UX, design systems, data-dense interfaces, and accessibility (WCAG/ARIA), while growing your product mindset through cross-functional collaboration and ownership of high-stakes financial workflows that impact real-world lending operations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Portfolio demonstrating high-craft visual and interaction design for dense layouts, multi-step workflows, and a consistent point of view
- • Deep Figma proficiency including variables, auto-layout, variants, prototyping, and component library maintenance
- • Experience designing for AI-native UX, including handling uncertainty states, intervention affordances, streaming content, and graceful error handling
- • Strong user research instincts with ability to run interviews, synthesize qualitative insights, and translate findings into design decisions
- • Proficiency in accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA, color/contrast, keyboard navigation, motion sensitivity)
- • Experience contributing to or building design systems with understanding of component architecture and reusable design
