Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end user experience for a core product area within Juniper Square’s platform, delivering solutions that simplify complex financial workflows for institutional investors and fund managers.
- • Produce design outputs in whatever form best serves the team—annotated flows, coded prototypes using AI tools like Cursor or Claude Code, LLM-generated specs with design system context, or polished Figma files for developer handoff.
- • Ensure all design deliverables are complete, accurate, and fully aligned with the company’s design system, prioritizing outcome over format.
- • Design AI-driven features including proactive recommendations, generative summaries, and predictive insights, with strong focus on trust, transparency, explainability, and error handling for enterprise users.
- • Conduct user research and interpret product analytics to uncover real needs, run quick usability tests, and treat research as a velocity tool to accelerate product iteration.
- • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align on strategy, ensure design execution supports business goals, and maintain ownership of the design relationship for your product area.
- • Actively contribute to and evolve the company’s design system by creating reusable components, documenting patterns, and advocating for consistency across the product suite.
- • Give and receive feedback from peers on the design team to raise the collective standard of design craft and foster a culture of open debate and continuous improvement.
- • Work autonomously with minimal direction, demonstrating sound judgment and taste that distinguishes thoughtful, human-centered design from templated or AI-generated outputs.
- • Design for a data-heavy B2B SaaS environment with complex tables, filters, and visualizations, ensuring clarity and usability for users managing $300B+ in assets.
- • Leverage modern design tools including Figma (with component libraries, auto-layout, and developer handoff capabilities) and AI-powered tools (LLMs, Cursor, Claude Code) as part of daily workflow.
- • Translate deep domain understanding of private markets, investment management, or real estate into intuitive product experiences that meet the needs of sophisticated institutional clients.
- • Communicate design decisions clearly and persuasively to engineers, product managers, and executives through written, verbal, and visual means.
- • Maintain a portfolio that demonstrates deep UX thinking, clear user journeys, visual polish, and shipped work across the full product development lifecycle.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer with a portfolio of shipped work across the full development lifecycle
- • Proven experience designing for complex B2B or Enterprise SaaS products, ideally in a data-heavy domain
- • Fluency with Figma including component libraries, auto-layout, and developer-ready handoff files; comfort with AI-powered tools like LLMs, Cursor, or Claude Code
- • Experience designing for AI/ML-driven features with attention to trust, explainability, and error states
- • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and deliver high-quality work without significant direction
- • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills with ability to articulate design decisions to cross-functional teams
🏖️ Benefits
- • Health, dental, and vision care for you and your family
- • Life insurance and mental wellness coverage
- • FLEX Time Off in addition to company-paid holidays
- • Paid family leave, medical leave, and bereavement leave policies
- • Retirement saving plans
- • Allowance to customize your work and technology setup at home
