📋 Description

• As a Senior Product Designer at Almedia Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of user engagement for a high-growth, bootstrapped startup aiming to become Germany’s second unicorn, directly impacting how over 70 million users interact with advertiser products through innovative, reward-based experiences.
• You will own end-to-end product design from discovery to implementation, leading UI/UX strategy in close collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to ensure designs are not only visually compelling and intuitive but also grounded in user research, data insights, and technical feasibility.
• Almedia operates as a high-intensity, office-based culture in central Berlin, where you’ll join a driven team of high-ownership individuals committed to rapid iteration, excellence, and building momentum through five-day-a-week in-person collaboration.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading the UI design process from concept to final implementation, ensuring visual consistency, accessibility, and alignment with user needs across mobile-first experiences.
• You will partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to translate business goals and technical constraints into innovative design solutions, participating in regular critique sessions and stakeholder alignments to drive consensus and clarity.
• You will conduct and synthesize user research, usability testing, and behavioral data analysis to validate assumptions, refine designs, and measure the impact of your work on key product metrics.
• You will champion design excellence by mentoring peers, setting high standards for quality and impact, and continuously advocating for user-centric improvements that elevate the overall product experience.
• You will contribute strategically beyond pixel-perfect execution, helping shape product direction by identifying opportunities where design can unlock growth, engagement, and business value.
• You will thrive in a lean, fast-moving environment by balancing speed with rigor, iterating quickly based on feedback and data while maintaining uncompromising attention to detail and craft.
• You will deepen your expertise in data-informed design, motion and interaction design, and gamified user experiences, while strengthening your ability to influence product strategy and collaborate effectively with engineers and data scientists.
• You will grow your leadership presence by owning design outcomes, driving team improvement, and gaining visibility into how design decisions impact business performance in a profitable, scaling startup.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience designing mobile-first digital products with a strong portfolio demonstrating impactful UI and UX work.
• Exceptional visual design skills, including mastery of layout, typography, color, hierarchy, and accessibility principles.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams, with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Data-driven mindset: experience using user research, analytics, and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions.
• Bonus: Experience with motion design, prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, After Effects), or gamified interface elements.
• Bonus: Technical awareness of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how they influence design feasibility and implementation.
