• As a Senior Product Designer, you will dive deep into the complexities of our Enterprise experiences, focusing on crafting exceptional user journeys and solving intricate system challenges. Your primary mission will be to translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive, scalable, and delightful product solutions.
• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers. This partnership is crucial for gaining a profound understanding of our users – restaurant operators and their teams – and translating those insights into thoughtful, user-centered product experiences that address their unique pain points and aspirations.
• Your responsibilities will span the entire design lifecycle, from initial concept to final implementation. You will be instrumental in designing end-to-end workflows across both responsive web and native mobile platforms. This involves producing clear and concise deliverables such as wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and detailed design specifications that effectively guide the product development process and ensure a high standard of execution.
• A key aspect of this role involves simplifying complex, scaled operator workflows. You will tackle challenges related to how restaurants manage critical aspects of their business, including menus, multiple locations, and intricate configurations. Your designs will aim to bring clarity, consistency, and efficiency to these essential operational tasks, enabling operators to manage their businesses with greater ease and confidence.
• You will contribute to the exciting evolution of AI-driven tools designed to empower restaurant operators. Your work will help shape how these tools assist operators in making better, faster, and more informed decisions, ultimately enhancing their business performance and guest experience.
• A significant part of your contribution will involve applying systems thinking to the design and evolution of platform-level experiences. This includes areas like multi-location management, restaurant configuration, and menu management. You will ensure these experiences are designed to scale coherently and consistently across multiple product lines, maintaining a unified and robust platform for our diverse customer base.
• You will be a key partner to our dedicated Design System team. Your collaboration will be essential in ensuring design consistency across Toast products and contributing to the long-term extensibility and maintainability of our design system, fostering a unified brand experience.
• We foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative learning. You will actively participate in design critiques and reviews, providing constructive feedback to your peers and graciously receiving feedback to strengthen the quality and impact of the work across the team.
• You will support both qualitative and quantitative research activities, working closely with our research team to gather user insights. Your ability to translate these findings into actionable product improvements will be critical in driving user-centered innovation.
• To ensure our products resonate globally, you will collaborate with localization and international teams. This ensures that our designs are culturally appropriate, adaptable across different languages and regions, and meet the diverse needs of our global customer base.
• Ultimately, you will be a strong advocate for customer-centered design principles. You will champion user needs, elevate the standard of design craft across the team, and ensure that every product we build delivers exceptional value and a seamless experience for our restaurant partners.

• Proven experience designing holistic, end-to-end product experiences, demonstrating comfort and capability in moving from broad user journeys to intricate interaction details.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, proactively seeking clarity, adapting to evolving responsibilities, and driving projects forward with minimal oversight.
• Strong experience in designing at a systems level, with a proven ability to contribute to and shape design systems, identify reusable patterns, influence design standards, and collaborate effectively to balance product-specific needs with platform-wide scalability.
• Fluency in user-centered design methodologies and sufficient research literacy to ground design decisions in user insights and data.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and work effectively across diverse disciplines.
• An enduring sense of curiosity and a proactive desire to continuously learn, grow, and evolve your design practice.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma and other relevant prototyping and design collaboration tools.
