• • As a Senior Product Designer at Okta, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of identity management by designing intuitive and powerful user experiences for our platform. You will operate at the intersection of complex technical systems and user needs, bridging the gap between developers and end-users to create cohesive and efficient product offerings.
• • Your primary focus will be on designing the holistic integration of APIs with their corresponding UI components, ensuring that developers receive both the technical flexibility and visual consistency they require out-of-the-box. This involves creating a seamless experience for developers who are integrating Okta's identity solutions into their own applications and workflows.
• • You will play a crucial role in aligning our B2B and B2C product strategies by establishing unified component patterns and interaction models. This ensures that our design language is consistent and effective across both enterprise-grade solutions and consumer-facing applications, providing a familiar and efficient experience regardless of the user context.
• • A key responsibility will be to drive standardization and alignment across disparate component systems. You will be responsible for creating a shared design language and reusable patterns that reduce fragmentation, enhance consistency, and accelerate development velocity across the organization.
• • You will design developer-facing interfaces for custom JavaScript extensibility, including sophisticated code editors, debugging tools, and user-friendly documentation experiences. The goal is to empower technical users to build custom behaviors with confidence, making Okta's platform highly adaptable and customizable.
• • Furthermore, you will design intuitive WYSIWYG visual editors and drag-and-drop flow builders for low-code extensibility. This will enable non-technical users to create custom logic and workflows without writing code, balancing the power of customization with ease of use.
• • Collaboration will be central to your role, as you will work closely with distributed teams across the US, Canada, and Spain. You will be responsible for ensuring a cohesive vision and execution across different time zones and product surfaces, fostering strong communication and alignment.
• • You will leverage your expertise to simplify complex, high-data environments, translating intricate technical concepts into clear and actionable design solutions. Your ability to think systemically will be critical in navigating the complexities of our platform.
• • This role requires a strategic mindset, where you will advocate for user needs and influence product strategy at the executive level. You will be expected to mentor senior designers and guide the team towards impactful design decisions.
• • You will ensure advanced knowledge and application of WCAG compliance standards for high-density data and complex UIs, making our products accessible to all users.
• • You will also be at the forefront of designing for AI/ML features, including prompt patterns and ethical UI considerations, ensuring that our AI integrations are user-centric and responsible.
• • Your portfolio should showcase significant "heavy lifting" projects, demonstrating your experience with complex workflows, data density, or technical platforms such as AWS/GCP consoles, Fintech APIs, CRMs, insurance, or DevOps tools.
