- • Design intuitive, user-centered digital experiences for a global SaaS workforce management platform serving over 1.5 million hourly workers across 100+ countries.
- • Lead end-to-end product design processes including research, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and high-fidelity UI design for features impacting frontline workers like nurses, cleaners, delivery drivers, and factory staff.
- • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to translate business goals and user needs into scalable, accessible, and impactful product solutions.
- • Advocate for the needs of hourly workers by grounding design decisions in real-world behaviors, pain points, and contextual workflows of non-desk-based employees.
- • Leverage AI tools responsibly and creatively to accelerate ideation, solve design problems faster, and explore new interaction patterns, with training and support provided by the company.
- • Participate in team rituals including design critiques, design jams, pair design sessions, retrospectives, and strategic planning days to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
- • Influence product strategy and business outcomes through data-informed design recommendations and user insights gathered from global customer bases.
- • Work within a strong design system and brand framework while contributing to its evolution to ensure consistency and scalability across platforms.
- • Engage in user research activities to uncover unmet needs of small and large businesses managing shift-based workforces.
- • Design for accessibility, inclusivity, and low-digital-literacy users to ensure equitable access for diverse frontline worker populations.
- • Contribute to the product roadmap by identifying opportunities to improve worker engagement, compliance, productivity, and business profitability through design.
- • Balance rapid iteration with long-term design vision, ensuring features are both immediately useful and strategically aligned with Deputy’s mission to transform frontline work.
- • Collaborate across global teams in Sydney, Melbourne, San Francisco, London, and remote US-based colleagues to align on design direction and execution.
- • Participate in team social events and in-office design days when working from the Sydney hub, fostering a culture of connection and shared purpose.
- • Own the design outcome for key product initiatives from concept to launch, measuring success through user adoption, satisfaction, and business metrics.
- • Stay current with emerging design trends, accessibility standards, and AI-driven design tools to maintain industry-leading product quality.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Product Designer in a SaaS or tech environment with a portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design work
- • Demonstrated ability to design for complex workflows involving diverse, non-desk-based user groups
- • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and prototyping platforms
- • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and research
- • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability testing methodologies
- • Willingness and ability to use AI tools creatively and responsibly in daily design workflows
