• • This is a unique opportunity to work directly with Brian Armstrong, Coinbase's CEO, on cutting-edge, consumer-facing AI products, with a primary focus on designing the user experience for our innovative Coinbase AI Advisor within the Coinbase Retail App.
• • As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in defining the strategic direction and decision-making processes for both product and design initiatives, ensuring alignment with Coinbase's ambitious goals.
• • You will be entrusted with owning the complete end-to-end user journey for the Coinbase AI Advisor, from the initial user activation and onboarding through to sustained and repeat engagement across both mobile and web platforms.
• • Your expertise will be crucial in translating complex financial and technical concepts, such as risk assessment, yield generation, trading mechanics, and tax implications, into intuitive, simple, and high-trust user flows that empower retail customers to make well-informed financial decisions.
• • Foster a highly collaborative environment by partnering closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineers, User Researchers, and Legal/Compliance experts, to collaboratively define challenging problems, explore innovative solutions, and rapidly ship impactful experiences to our users.
• • Design and deliver high-quality user interfaces (UI) and interaction patterns that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also exceptionally simple, intuitive, and user-friendly, ensuring a seamless and delightful experience.
• • Drive iterative design cycles by actively engaging in ideation, rapid prototyping, conducting user testing sessions, and meticulously refining designs based on a combination of qualitative user feedback and quantitative data insights.
• • Contribute to the development of a robust design system and ensure adherence to established design principles and brand guidelines across all product touchpoints.
• • Champion user-centric design principles throughout the product development lifecycle, advocating for the user's needs and ensuring their perspective is central to all design decisions.
• • Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in AI, financial technology, and user experience design, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the team.
• • Contribute to the development of a strong design culture within Coinbase, mentoring junior designers and sharing best practices.
• • Prepare and present design concepts, user flows, and prototypes to stakeholders at various levels, effectively communicating design rationale and gathering feedback.
• • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to ensure the product's value proposition is clearly articulated to users.
• • Participate in user research initiatives, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain deep insights into user behavior, needs, and pain points.
• • Contribute to the definition of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the AI Advisor product and use data to inform design iterations and improvements.
