đź“‹ Description

  • • Fieldguide is at the forefront of revolutionizing trust in global commerce and capital markets by automating and streamlining the critical work of assurance and audit practitioners. We specialize in building sophisticated software solutions tailored for cybersecurity, privacy, and financial audit professionals, empowering them to facilitate trust between businesses with unparalleled efficiency and accuracy.
  • • As a Senior Product Designer on our Audit product team, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our core offerings. This role demands a proactive and visionary individual who can navigate complex and often ambiguous problem spaces from inception to successful implementation. You will be a key partner to our Product and Engineering teams, contributing significantly to the strategic direction and design evolution of a foundational Fieldguide product.
  • • Our company culture is built on a foundation of rapid iteration and continuous improvement. We operate at an incredibly fast pace, and we seek designers who not only match this cadence but thrive within it. The Audit team ships features frequently, engages in tight feedback loops, and consistently makes progress even when faced with ambiguity. Your ability to expertly balance speed with meticulous craft, integrate AI into your daily design practices, and specifically design AI-assisted workflows will be paramount to your success.
  • • This is a high-impact opportunity for a designer eager to take ownership of challenging, undefined problems, drive significant momentum, and play a pivotal role in modernizing the essential audit workflows that our customers rely on daily. You will be a critical contributor to enhancing the work-life balance for audit practitioners by consolidating up to 50% of their workload through our innovative software.
  • • You will join a dynamic and rapidly growing product design team that is deeply embedded within Fieldguide’s Audit product group. Designers at Fieldguide are empowered to act as strong, collaborative product partners. You will work hand-in-hand with Product Management and Engineering to meticulously define problems, conceptualize innovative solutions, and deliver high-quality, scalable product implementations.
  • • The Audit team’s focus is on the core, day-to-day workflows utilized by auditors and assurance professionals. This includes critical stages such as engagement planning, execution, comprehensive review processes, and seamless collaboration across various engagements. The challenges presented are inherently complex, data-rich, and carry significant impact for our users and their clients.
  • • Your responsibilities will encompass leading the end-to-end design process for intricate and ambiguous audit workflows, guiding them from the initial problem definition phase all the way through to the delivery of shipped solutions. You will forge strong partnerships with Product and Engineering to actively shape product strategy, influence the development roadmap, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable product implementations.
  • • You will be expected to drive design execution with a high degree of autonomy, demonstrating effectiveness in a fast-paced, often ambiguous operational environment. A key part of your role will be translating complex customer needs, insightful research findings, and strategic business objectives into intuitive user journeys, well-defined interaction models, and meticulously polished user interfaces.
  • • You will be tasked with balancing the imperative for speed and rapid iteration with the non-negotiable requirements of usability, design consistency, and long-term product quality. This involves advocating strongly for user needs while simultaneously considering critical technical, regulatory, and business constraints that shape our product landscape.
  • • You will own a significant product area or a critical customer journey, proactively anticipating and addressing downstream impacts across various workflows and user personas. Furthermore, you will be responsible for setting a high standard for design craft and influencing the broader design team by actively contributing to our design system, mentoring junior designers, and serving as a trusted, authoritative voice within the design function.
  • • We are looking for individuals who excel in fast-moving environments and can operate with exceptional velocity without compromising on sound judgment or design excellence. You should be comfortable taking full ownership of complex, ambiguous problem spaces from start to finish, requiring minimal oversight. A systems-thinking approach is essential, enabling you to anticipate downstream effects across diverse workflows, user personas, and adjacent product areas.
  • • Experience in designing or collaborating on AI-assisted workflows, such as those involving review, summarization, or guided assistance, is highly valued. You should be adept at incorporating AI into your own design practice, from initial research and synthesis to prototyping and iterative refinement. We are particularly excited about candidates who are enthusiastic about designing AI-assisted workflows that provide tangible, meaningful support to auditors in their demanding work.
  • • A commitment to setting a high bar for usability, polish, and consistency in all shipped work is expected. You will be a trusted design leader, elevating the entire team through mentorship, constructive feedback, and thoughtful critique, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and shared learning.
  • • Bonus points for experience designing for specialized domains like audit, accounting, compliance, or other highly regulated industries. A background in workflow-heavy, document-centric, or B2B SaaS products is advantageous. Familiarity with designing for role-based permissions, complex review cycles, and multi-stakeholder collaboration scenarios will be beneficial. Experience partnering on zero-to-one product initiatives or major product re-architecture efforts is also a plus. Finally, a foundational understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices is highly desirable.
