• • We are seeking a talented and driven Senior Product Designer to join our dynamic Chairside and Product Lines team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing and delivering high-impact workflows that are critical to dental practices' ability to efficiently scan, order, and manage restorative products for their patients. You will collaborate closely with Senior and Staff Designers, contributing to the execution of priority initiatives while progressively taking on greater ownership in problem definition and ensuring the quality of our design solutions. This is a hands-on product design position designed for individuals eager to tackle complex systems, accelerate their learning, and expand their responsibilities over time.
• • As a Product Designer at Dandy, you will make significant contributions to dentist-facing workflows across our flagship product, Chairside, and its supporting Product Line experiences. These workflows are fundamental to the clinical experience, directly influencing accuracy, operational efficiency, and patient outcomes. You will foster close partnerships with Product Managers, Engineers, Operations specialists, and fellow Senior and Staff Design peers, guiding projects from initial problem framing through to execution and iterative refinement. While independent product strategy setting is not expected at this stage, you will be tasked with critical thinking, posing insightful questions, and delivering design solutions that are robust and performant in production environments.
• • Your core responsibilities will include designing end-to-end user experiences for essential Chairside and Product Line workflows, with a particular focus on scanning and ordering processes. You will assume ownership of specific problem areas or features, meticulously executing designs from the early stages of exploration to the final UI and seamless handoff to engineering. A key aspect of your role will be ensuring that all designs are clear, intuitive, and technically and operationally feasible, respecting real-world constraints.
• • You will be expected to execute with a high degree of craft and sound judgment, creating sophisticated interaction flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs that artfully balance the demands of speed, quality, and user needs. Consistent application of design system components will be crucial, alongside the discernment to identify when a unique problem necessitates novel solutions. Meticulous attention to detail will be paramount, particularly in workflow-heavy and potentially error-prone scenarios, to ensure optimal usability, accuracy, and user confidence.
• • Close collaboration with cross-functional teams is a cornerstone of this role. You will work daily with Product and Engineering teams to refine requirements, navigate complex tradeoffs, and collaboratively iterate towards optimal solutions. Active participation in design critiques and reviews with Senior and Staff Designers is expected, incorporating feedback constructively to elevate the overall quality of our design output. Clear communication of design decisions, firmly rooted in user needs and overarching product goals, will be essential.
• • Learning from users and data will be integral to your process. You will actively participate in user research, usability testing, and customer interviews to gather insights that inform and shape your design decisions. Leveraging feedback, customer support intelligence, and fundamental product metrics will be key to iterating effectively on shipped work. Cultivating a deep curiosity about the real-world performance of your designs and adapting them accordingly will be highly valued.
