📋 Description

• As a Senior Product Designer within the Compute Tribe at Scaleway, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our core cloud computing products. Your mission is to elevate the user experience of our console, transforming complex infrastructure management into intuitive and efficient journeys for a diverse user base, including developers, DevOps engineers, and enterprise clients.
• You will be instrumental in designing and optimizing the Scaleway console experience for a comprehensive suite of Compute products. This includes, but is not limited to, CPU/GPU Instances, Kubernetes orchestration, Serverless computing, and Container Registry services. Your work will directly impact how users interact with and manage their cloud infrastructure, ensuring simplicity, flexibility, and technical excellence are at the forefront.
• Your role begins with a deep dive into user needs and challenges. Collaborating closely with Product Managers and the dedicated UX Research team, you will actively participate in user interviews, conduct user story mapping sessions, and analyze user feedback to gain a profound understanding of their pain points and aspirations.
• Based on these insights, you will translate complex technical requirements into tangible design solutions. This involves creating detailed low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes that effectively communicate your vision. These prototypes will serve as the basis for design reviews, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and providing clear guidance for the development team.
• Design validation is a critical component of your workflow. You will champion the principle that a design is only truly successful if it functions optimally in practice. Working alongside your PM and UX Research colleagues, you will meticulously plan and execute usability testing and user testing sessions. The insights gathered from these tests will be crucial for iterating on designs and reporting findings back to the wider team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• You will be an integral part of the Compute Tribe's 'triforce,' a collaborative unit comprising your Product Manager, Front-end Developers, and Technical and UX Writers. This close-knit collaboration ensures that the highest value is delivered to our users in a collective and efficient manner. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring that the product vision is translated into a seamless and effective user experience.
• Beyond your immediate tribe, you will be a valued member of the broader Product Design team. You will actively participate in design critiques, sharing your work and providing constructive feedback to your peers. This collaborative approach to design ensures that we maintain a high standard of quality and innovation across all our products.
• As an evangelist for design excellence, you will contribute to fostering a strong design culture within Scaleway. This may involve participating in onboarding sessions for new Scalers, contributing to internal design events, and sharing best practices to inspire and educate colleagues across the organization.
• You will be working within a dynamic and international environment, surrounded by a diverse team of talented individuals. This collaborative spirit and emphasis on sharing knowledge are key to bringing new projects to life and advancing Scaleway's ambitious goals.
• The Compute Tribe focuses on Scaleway’s foundational cloud computing portfolio. This includes Virtual Machines (both CPU and GPU-accelerated), Kubernetes for container orchestration, Container Registry for image management, and Serverless Compute options. Your expertise will directly influence the evolution and success of these critical offerings.
• You will report to Lorenzo Palacios Venin, Lead Product Design, and will work closely with the tribe’s existing Product Designer, who will provide support, mentorship, and guidance to facilitate your integration and professional growth within the team.
• The role demands a strong ability to simplify complex technical topics, making them accessible and understandable to a wide range of users. Your designs will bridge the gap between intricate cloud infrastructure and user-friendly interfaces.
• You will be expected to demonstrate autonomy and strong prioritization skills, effectively managing your workload and focusing on the most impactful design initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Product Design, ideally in B2B SaaS or tech environments.
• Proven experience designing complex interfaces, such as dashboards, SaaS tools, or infrastructure management platforms.
• Strong expertise in Figma and proficiency in prototyping workflows.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers and Developers in agile development environments.
• Strong command of English (written and spoken).
