- • As a Senior Product Designer - Growth at MagicSchool Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of a leading generative AI platform that empowers over 7 million educators worldwide, directly contributing to the company’s mission of making education more efficient, equitable, and joyful through innovative AI-driven tools.
- • You will embed within the growth squad to drive strategic design decisions, lead end-to-end product design execution, and translate user research and data into intuitive, accessible, and impactful features that balance educator needs with business goals and technical constraints.
- • MagicSchool is a fast-growing, mission-driven edtech startup at the forefront of AI in education, fostering a culture of innovation, responsibility, and community where designers are empowered to advocate for users and influence product direction from concept to launch.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include owning the full design lifecycle—from identifying opportunities and shaping feature direction to creating concepts, gathering feedback, and iterating rapidly based on qualitative and quantitative insights.
- • You will lead or collaborate on user research activities such as interviews, usability testing, surveys, and data analysis, synthesizing findings into actionable design principles that inform intuitive and inclusive user experiences.
- • You will ensure all designs meet accessibility and usability standards, championing inclusivity by considering diverse educator and student needs across global contexts and varying levels of tech proficiency.
- • You will actively contribute to and evolve MagicSchool’s design system by creating scalable, consistent UI components and patterns, while advocating for best practices in visual design, interaction, and prototyping using tools like Figma, Lovable, and Google Stitch.
- • You will partner closely with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional designers to align on solutions, navigate trade-offs, and deliver high-impact features that drive growth and user engagement.
- • You will help grow the organization’s design culture by mentoring peers, sharing knowledge, and promoting a user-centered mindset across teams through design advocacy and storytelling.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in growth-focused product design, gain hands-on experience with AI-powered educational tools, and strengthen your ability to balance strategic thinking with rapid experimentation in a high-velocity startup environment.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of complex, multi-step workflows and measurable outcomes.
- • Proven ability to lead design on large, cross-functional projects, including remote collaboration, with experience in design systems, prototyping (Figma, Lovable, Google Stitch), and usability testing.
- • Comfort using both qualitative and quantitative data—including A/B test results—to inform, validate, and iterate on design decisions in fast-paced, experimentation-driven environments.
