📋 Description

• As a Senior Product Designer - Growth (Onboarding) at Kraken, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how new users experience and access the full suite of Kraken’s crypto products, directly contributing to the company’s mission of accelerating global crypto adoption and financial inclusion.
• You will own end-to-end design for complex onboarding flows, ensuring intuitive, accessible, and aesthetically excellent experiences that lower barriers to entry for newcomers while meeting the high standards of experienced traders and institutions.
• Your work will directly impact user activation, retention, and trust in Kraken’s platform by translating regulatory requirements (like KYC) into seamless, human-centered interactions that align with both compliance needs and user expectations.
• You will collaborate daily with product managers, data analysts, engineers, and other designers to craft data-informed, iterative solutions grounded in qualitative and quantitative insights, using A/B testing and experimentation to measure impact and drive continuous improvement.
• You will help evolve and strengthen Kraken’s design language across products and platforms, ensuring visual consistency while allowing for unique brand expressions tailored to different user segments and use cases.
• You will advocate for design excellence by influencing stakeholders, participating in design reviews, and fostering a culture of candid feedback and continuous learning within a highly collaborative, remote-first team.
• You will take full ownership of high-impact features and projects, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility while demonstrating a bias for action in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• You will stay ahead of emerging UX/UI trends in fintech and crypto, applying human-centered design principles and research methods to anticipate user needs and refine Kraken’s onboarding experience for global audiences.
• You will grow your expertise in designing for regulated, compliance-heavy industries like crypto, gaining deep insight into how KYC, AML, and financial regulations intersect with user experience — a rare and valuable skill set in today’s digital economy.
• You will contribute to Kraken’s culture of meritocracy and inclusion, working alongside a diverse, global team of over 70 countries and 50+ languages, where your contributions are valued based on impact, not background.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience delivering end-to-end product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality mobile app work.
• Experience working with KYC or compliance-heavy industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, government) is required.
• Strong UX and visual design skills, with demonstrated ability to solve complex, user-centered problems using data-informed approaches including A/B testing and experimentation.
• Proficiency with prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and techniques to communicate ideas clearly and effectively to cross-functional teams.
• Strong familiarity with human-centered design principles and research methods, and a proven ability to apply them to improve outcomes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, align stakeholders, and present design decisions confidently to both design and non-design audiences.
