📋 Description

• As a Senior Product Designer on Cohere’s North team, you will shape the future of enterprise AI by designing intuitive, user-centered experiences that make advanced AI capabilities accessible and impactful for organizations worldwide. Your work will directly influence how enterprises adopt and benefit from cutting-edge AI systems, turning complex technology into seamless, human-centered workflows.
• You will own the end-to-end design process for your product area, from identifying user needs and conducting research to prototyping, iterating, and collaborating with engineering to ensure high-fidelity implementation. Your designs will balance technical sophistication with usability, ensuring that powerful AI agentic workflows are intuitive, controllable, and valuable in real-world enterprise settings.
• You will partner closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and cross-functional stakeholders across geographies to align on vision, prioritize opportunities, and drive product strategy. Your role is pivotal in translating AI innovation into tangible user value through thoughtful, research-informed design decisions.
• Cohere’s North team is at the forefront of applied AI innovation, building products that empower developers and enterprises to harness frontier models for content generation, semantic search, RAG, and AI agents. The team operates with a culture of excellence, curiosity, and collaboration, where designers are trusted as strategic partners in shaping product direction.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in designing for complex AI systems, strengthen your ability to lead design processes in fast-moving, high-stakes environments, and build a portfolio of work that demonstrates measurable impact on user outcomes and enterprise adoption of AI. You’ll grow as a design leader while contributing to mission-driven work that scales intelligence to serve humanity.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing digital products with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design process, systems thinking, and measurable impact on user outcomes
• Strong understanding of AI concepts and agentic systems, including model reasoning, tool use, and multi-step workflow orchestration, with ability to design intuitive interactions for complex AI behaviors
• Proficiency in Figma and a proven track record of creating scalable design systems, patterns, and high-craft visual designs with attention to typography, layout, color, and composition
• Demonstrated ability to conduct user research, synthesize insights, and translate findings into actionable design improvements that drive product impact
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working effectively across distributed teams, product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align on solutions and navigate technical constraints
