• • You will collaborate closely with the team’s Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, and Product Manager, leveraging your hands-on expertise and technical judgment to guide delivery and ensure the long-term health and evolution of Arbor's mobile technology. • • A core responsibility involves contributing significantly to the mobile application architecture. This includes the critical selection of appropriate libraries, frameworks, and tools to ensure that Arbor's products are not only robust and scalable but also inherently secure, meeting the demands of a large user base.
• • You will be expected to write clean, high-quality, and thoroughly tested React Native code, setting a benchmark for the entire team. This commitment to quality extends to adhering to and actively promoting established coding standards, and contributing to the organization’s automated testing frameworks to foster a pervasive quality-first culture.
• • Close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including the Tech Lead, Product Manager, Engineering Manager, QA specialists, Designers, and fellow Engineers, is essential. This ensures that technical delivery remains tightly aligned with the overarching product strategy and the organization’s API strategy, creating a cohesive and effective product development process.
• • The role also encompasses a leadership and mentorship aspect. You will play an active role in the hiring and onboarding process for new engineers, and provide crucial support and mentoring to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development within the team.
• • A key focus will be on ensuring that non-functional requirements, such as application performance, reliability, and security, are meticulously addressed in all solution designs. This proactive approach prevents future issues and ensures a superior user experience.
• • Accountability is paramount. You will ensure that systems are observable, meaning they provide sufficient data for monitoring and troubleshooting, and that they consistently meet agreed-upon Service Level Objectives (SLOs). This includes actively contributing to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when incidents occur, identifying the underlying issues and implementing lasting solutions.
• • Providing accurate estimations and feasibility assessments for proposed features and projects is vital. This ensures that development plans are realistic, achievable, and aligned with the team's skills, capacity, and overall project timelines.
