📋 Description

• • As a Senior Product Engineer at n8n GmbH, you will be at the forefront of developing and delivering innovative features for our open workflow orchestration platform. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of AI-powered automation, empowering technical teams with the flexibility of code and the speed of no-code solutions. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for your assigned features, from initial discovery and design through to delivery, iteration, and ongoing maintenance. Your primary objective will be to ship high-quality, secure, and performant TypeScript features that have an immediate and tangible impact on our users' workflows, often within the same week of development.
• • You will operate with a full-stack mindset, embracing the responsibility of building and evolving both customer-facing experiences and the underlying scalable backend services. This involves close collaboration with Product Managers to translate complex customer problems into well-defined scopes and measurable outcomes. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our platform not only meets but exceeds user expectations in terms of usability, performance, and reliability.
• • A significant aspect of this role involves a deep engagement with experimentation and data-driven decision-making. You will be responsible for designing and running A/B tests and other experiments to validate hypotheses and drive improvements in key user metrics such as activation, retention, and workflow success. Owning the metrics for your product surface area will be crucial, enabling you to use data to inform prioritization, identify areas for improvement, and debug real-world user behavior with confidence. This requires meticulous instrumentation of features to ensure accurate and comprehensive data capture.
• • The role also extends to building and maintaining the foundational elements of our automation platform, including integrations and APIs. You will be tasked with developing capabilities that enable a wide range of automation use cases and ensure the extensibility of our platform. A strong emphasis will be placed on adhering to high security standards and continuously evolving these capabilities to meet the dynamic needs of our growing customer base. Ensuring the scalability and reliability of these systems is paramount, as customers depend on n8n for their business-critical processes.

These teams range from those concentrating on highly user-facing aspects like activation and retention, to core node development, and enterprise-focused teams building essential governance, identity, and lifecycle controls.
