📋 Description

  • • As a Senior Program Specialist within the Employee & Workplace Experience (EWX) team at Coinbase, you will be instrumental in shaping the operational backbone that supports our global, remote-first workforce. Your primary focus will be on building and refining the systems, processes, and planning frameworks that enable seamless collaboration, connection, and engagement across the company. This role is critical for ensuring that our intentional in-person gatherings, working sessions, and office-related initiatives are executed with clarity, consistency, and at scale, even as a distributed organization.
  • • You will own the 'Rhythm of the Business' for the EWX team, which involves meticulously managing planning cycles, facilitating weekly prioritization meetings, ensuring launch readiness for new programs and initiatives, and conducting thorough retrospectives to drive continuous improvement. A key aspect of this responsibility is translating high-level leadership direction into actionable plans, defining clear milestones, assigning ownership, and proactively identifying and surfacing potential risks, dependencies, and resourcing challenges before they impact progress.
  • • A significant part of your role will be to support the successful go-to-market strategy for EWX programs. This includes meticulously planning and delivering key events such as company-wide surges, focused working sessions, event grants, and various office-related projects. You will act as a central point of coordination, liaising effectively with diverse internal teams including Workplace, Real Estate, Internal Communications, Finance, and other critical partners. To streamline operations and prevent the proliferation of ad hoc requests, you will develop and implement straightforward intake and prioritization mechanisms.
  • • Budget management is a core component of this position. You will be responsible for diligently tracking budgets allocated to EWX programs and initiatives, maintaining a clear and up-to-date view of forecast versus actual expenditures. You will proactively flag any potential budget trade-offs or financial risks to leadership, enabling them to make informed decisions. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with the Finance department on budget planning and reforecasting activities.
  • • You will provide essential support for real estate planning efforts, contributing to capacity assumptions, providing utilization inputs, and aligning on project timelines. This involves tracking cross-functional inputs and decisions to ensure alignment and clarity. A crucial aspect of this support is ensuring that all assumptions and decisions are clearly documented and effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders. While you will not be directly responsible for design or construction, your role in maintaining tight alignment and clear communication within the planning phases is vital.
  • • Developing and maintaining robust processes, playbooks, and operating models will be a key deliverable. Your efforts will focus on reducing instances of one-off work and eliminating ambiguity within EWX operations. You will ensure that essential tools such as Asana, Jira, and Notion are leveraged effectively to promote clarity, facilitate collaboration, and support operational scale.
  • • You will play a pivotal role in defining and measuring success for EWX programs through data, reporting, and compelling storytelling. This involves helping to establish key performance indicators (KPIs), building insightful dashboards, and generating simple yet effective reports that showcase program progress, financial spend, and overall impact. You will be adept at synthesizing complex updates into clear, concise written summaries suitable for leadership review, ensuring that the value and outcomes of EWX initiatives are effectively communicated.
  • • This role demands a strong systems thinker who can proactively build structure to prevent recurring problems and streamline operations. You will need to be comfortable navigating ambiguity, translating strategic direction into concrete actions, and managing budgets and financial trade-offs effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are paramount, as is the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners without direct authority. A data-literate mindset, with comfort in working with metrics and dashboards, will be essential for success in this dynamic and impactful role.
