• • As a Senior Python Engineer, you will be an integral, foundational member of a compact, high-performing engineering team, comprising fewer than 10 individuals, with a daily deployment cadence. Your primary responsibility will be to advance the architectural maturity of the platform as it scales, ensuring that the systems remain not only performant and robust but also elegantly designed and enduring. This position transcends a typical ticket-implementation role; it is a high-autonomy opportunity for a seasoned engineer who is eager to take ownership of the architecture, proactively identify and address potential architectural weaknesses before they become entrenched issues, and construct the sophisticated financial and operational engine that enables veterinarians to concentrate on medical practice rather than complex system logic.
• • Your key areas of ownership will include **Architectural Evolution**, where you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable backend services. This will involve leveraging modern technologies such as Python 3.12+, FastAPI, and gRPC, deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future architecture of our core systems.
• • Furthermore, you will ensure **System Integrity & Security**. Operating within a SOC 2 Type II compliant environment, you will develop intricate payment flows utilizing Stripe and manage sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII) with a strong HIPAA-aware approach. Your efforts will be crucial in guaranteeing that our infrastructure is both highly reliable and exceptionally fast, meeting stringent security and compliance standards.
