This role is specifically for a Senior React Native Engineer who will become an integral part of a cross-functional team dedicated to crafting cutting-edge product experiences within our established Zable App. This app, already utilized by over 500,000 customers across both iOS and Android platforms, is poised for significant evolution over the next year with the introduction of new products and the expansion to new user demographics.
• • As a Senior React Native Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our mobile applications. Your responsibilities will encompass not only the development of new features but also a strong emphasis on enhancing application performance, systematically reducing technical debt, and improving overall system scalability. We are seeking an individual who possesses a keen eye for detail, demonstrates resourcefulness in problem-solving, and has a proactive approach to understanding the broader business context beyond their immediate product team. Your contributions will be vital in supporting wider engineering and business initiatives that are crucial for scaling our UK and US-based products.
• • You will be instrumental in driving the technical direction of our mobile applications, ensuring they are robust, performant, and scalable. This involves collaborating closely with product owners to translate complex business requirements into actionable development tasks, accurately estimating implementation complexity, and delivering high-quality code. A significant part of your role will involve contributing to the continuous improvement of our mobile development processes, including the adoption and refinement of automated testing strategies. You will be expected to champion best practices in mobile development, ensuring our applications meet the highest standards of quality and user experience.
• • The Zable App is built using a modern technology stack designed for efficiency and scalability. On the mobile front, we leverage TypeScript, React Native, GraphQL, Jest, React Testing Library, Maestro, and MobX. For our web presence, we utilize TypeScript, React, NextJS, SCSS, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, and Redux. Our backend services are powered by Kotlin, PHP 7/8 (Symfony), AWS, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Docker, and Kubernetes. We manage our development workflow with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence, and automate our CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions. For debugging and performance monitoring, we rely on Bugsnag, Datadog, and Sentry. Our design process is facilitated by Figma and Storybook.
