📋 Description

• As a Senior React Native Engineer at Mutt Data SRL, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative mobile applications that leverage the power of Big Data and Machine Learning. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment, contributing to the creation of cutting-edge systems that solve complex problems across various high-impact industries.
• Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and performant mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms using React Native. This involves writing clean, well-documented, and efficient code that adheres to best practices and architectural guidelines.
• You will play a pivotal role in shaping the mobile architecture of our products. This includes making critical decisions about technology choices, design patterns, and implementation strategies to ensure the long-term maintainability and scalability of our mobile codebase.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, backend engineers, and data scientists, to translate product requirements into robust and user-friendly mobile experiences. Your input will be crucial in defining the technical feasibility and optimal implementation of new features.
• Take ownership of significant features and modules from conception through to deployment and ongoing maintenance. This includes identifying potential challenges, proposing solutions, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team. You will share your expertise, conduct code reviews, and provide constructive feedback to help elevate the skills of your colleagues.
• Drive improvements in application performance, stability, and user experience. This involves profiling applications, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations to ensure a seamless and responsive user journey.
• Contribute to the enhancement of our development processes and tooling. You will actively participate in discussions about agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and other aspects of the software development lifecycle.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in React Native, mobile development, Big Data, and Machine Learning. You will bring this knowledge back to the team, advocating for new technologies and approaches that can enhance our products and processes.
• Work within a team of 5+ engineers, demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills. You will be expected to contribute actively to team discussions, problem-solving sessions, and architectural reviews.
• Embrace a data-driven approach to development. As a "data nerd" yourself, you will be encouraged to utilize data insights to inform design decisions, prioritize features, and measure the success of your work.
• Ensure the security and integrity of user data within the mobile applications, adhering to industry standards and best practices for data protection.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues that may arise in production environments, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap for our mobile products, helping to define future development priorities and strategic initiatives.
• You will be instrumental in building and maintaining applications for high-impact environments such as fintech, healthtech, e-commerce, or other high-scale consumer products, understanding the unique challenges and requirements of these sectors.
• Act as a senior contributor or potential tech lead, demonstrating leadership qualities and a proactive approach to problem-solving and team enablement.
• Champion code quality, testability, and maintainability, ensuring that our mobile applications are robust and adaptable to future changes.
• Engage in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to streamline the release process and ensure rapid, reliable delivery of updates.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment where diverse perspectives are valued and encouraged.
• Proactively identify opportunities for technical debt reduction and implement strategies to address it effectively.
• Contribute to the overall technical vision and strategy of Mutt Data SRL, aligning mobile development efforts with broader company goals.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior React Native Engineer with a strong portfolio of successfully launched iOS and Android applications.
• Deep understanding of JavaScript, React, and React Native, including state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand), component lifecycle, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience in leading technical discussions, making architectural decisions, and mentoring other engineers within a team of 5+.
• Familiarity with native build tools like Xcode and Android Studio, and experience with native module integration.
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, design patterns, and best practices for building scalable and maintainable codebases.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and integrating with backend services.
• Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git.
• Experience with testing frameworks for React Native (e.g., Jest, React Native Testing Library).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment.
• Experience in high-impact industries such as fintech, healthtech, or e-commerce is a plus.
• A passion for data and a "data nerd" mentality is highly desirable.
