  • • As a Senior Sales Engineer for Key Accounts in the Southcentral region, you will be a pivotal technical advisor and strategic partner to our most significant clients, driving the adoption and success of Datadog's comprehensive observability platform.
  • • You will be instrumental in articulating Datadog's unique value proposition, vision, and overarching strategy to enterprise-level customers, ensuring they understand how our solutions can address their most complex technical and business challenges.
  • • A core responsibility will be to own the technical engagement throughout the entire sales cycle, from initial qualification and discovery to the successful conclusion of Proofs of Value (POVs) and technical evaluations.
  • • You will conduct compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to the specific needs and environments of key accounts, showcasing the power and flexibility of Datadog's platform.
  • • This role demands a deep understanding of customer environments and the ability to translate technical capabilities into tangible business benefits, effectively communicating how Datadog can help them achieve their goals related to performance monitoring, security, and cost optimization.
  • • You will collaborate closely with the dedicated Sales team, acting as their technical counterpart to build trust, establish credibility, and navigate complex enterprise sales processes.
  • • A significant part of your engagement will involve owning the technical relationship during the trial phase, proactively communicating Datadog's value based on customer activities, and swiftly addressing any identified issues or concerns to ensure a successful outcome.
  • • You will leverage your advanced competitive knowledge and technical acumen to technically close complex opportunities, differentiating Datadog from competitors and reinforcing our market leadership.
  • • Maintaining meticulous records within the CRM system is crucial, documenting customer feedback, technical discussions, and the outcomes of both wins and losses to inform future sales strategies and product development.
  • • You will proactively engage with customers and internal Datadog business and technical teams to share insights on the product feedback, emerging market trends, and the competitive landscape, acting as a vital conduit of information.
  • • This role requires a passion for educating customers on observability risks and opportunities that are directly relevant to their business objectives, and the ability to collaboratively build and execute effective evaluation plans.
  • • You will be expected to develop and maintain a deep understanding of Datadog's product suite, including its capabilities, architecture, and integration points with various technologies and cloud environments.
  • • The ability to understand and articulate both the business benefits and the technical advantages of Datadog's offering is paramount, requiring strong written and oral communication skills.
  • • You will contribute to the continuous improvement of sales enablement materials, technical documentation, and best practices based on your field experience.
