📋 Description

• As a Senior Salesforce Engineer at Vanta, you will design and build the technical systems that power the rapidly growing go-to-market organization, directly enabling business scalability and operational efficiency by ensuring Salesforce platforms can support increasing complexity and volume.
• You will develop scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and declarative automation, while building and maintaining integrations between Salesforce and GTM tools via Workato, APIs, and custom middleware to unify data flow across sales, marketing, and customer success systems.
• You will partner with Product Managers and Revenue Operations stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, participate in code reviews, maintain documentation, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical strategy while shipping code daily.
• The Business Systems team owns the platforms and infrastructure that GTM teams rely on daily, including Salesforce, integration workflows, data pipelines, and automation, all designed to help Vanta scale efficiently while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• In this role, you will make critical data architecture decisions involving object modeling, relationship design, and data integrity strategies, optimize system performance, reduce technical debt, and ensure platform scalability across the GTM systems landscape.
• You will troubleshoot complex technical issues across integrated systems, contribute to deployment processes and release planning, and help shape technical roadmap decisions, all while mentoring teammates and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
• By enabling seamless integration and reliable data flow across Vanta’s go-to-market tech stack, your work will directly support the company’s mission to help businesses earn and prove trust through continuous security monitoring and verification.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of Salesforce development experience with strong Apex programming skills
• Expertise in Salesforce data modeling, system architecture, and designing scalable solutions
• Experience building and maintaining integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems using tools like Workato, Zapier, MuleSoft, or similar platforms
• Proficiency with JavaScript for building custom user interfaces and front-end functionality in Salesforce (Lightning Web Components)
• Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices including governor limits, bulkification, and design patterns
• Experience with version control (Git), deployment tools (Salesforce DX, Gearset, or similar), and CI/CD practices
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and debug across integrated systems
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working with Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or similar business teams
• Track record of technical mentorship or leadership
• Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II) are a plus but not required
• Open to using AI responsibly to amplify skills and improve efficiency and impact
