Our mission is to amplify human intelligence by developing next-generation intelligence infrastructure and interfaces that seamlessly capture, extract, and leverage insights from spoken words, sounds, visuals, and thoughts. As a rapidly growing, bootstrapped, and profitable Delaware-incorporated company based in San Francisco, we are pushing the boundaries of human-AI interaction through an innovative hardware-software combination. Our unwavering commitment to data security and privacy is underscored by our adherence to stringent compliance standards, including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA, and EN 18031.
  • • As a Senior Security Engineer at Plaud, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our rapidly expanding infrastructure, sensitive user data, and the integrity of our platform. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a company that has achieved a $250 million revenue run rate in just three years, defining the next paradigm in human-AI interaction. You will be instrumental in embedding security best practices into our engineering workflows, enhancing our overall security posture as we scale, and protecting our users and intellectual property.

You will be tasked with designing robust cloud and application security controls, ensuring that our systems are resilient against evolving threats. A key aspect of this role involves leading incident response efforts, meticulously investigating security events, and implementing measures to prevent recurrence. You will also be responsible for embedding security seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines and the broader Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), fostering a DevSecOps culture.

This includes analyzing potential attack vectors, evaluating the effectiveness of existing controls, and recommending improvements. Building and maintaining security tooling and automation will be crucial to enhance efficiency and scalability, allowing our engineering teams to operate securely without compromising velocity. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and operations, to ensure security is a foundational element of our product development and operational processes.
  • • This role offers significant exposure to cutting-edge AI technologies and the complexities of scaling a global SaaS product. You will have the opportunity to work with passionate teammates who are dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and achieving customer success. Plaud champions a culture of continuous learning and provides avenues for rapid career development, making this an ideal environment for ambitious professionals looking to make a substantial impact. You will be at the heart of our global expansion, contributing directly to our continued growth and success in the AI productivity space.
  • • We are seeking an individual who is not only technically proficient but also possesses a strong sense of ownership and a proactive approach to security. You will be empowered to make significant contributions, drive security initiatives, and shape the future of security at Plaud. This is more than just a job; it's a chance to be part of a transformative company that is redefining how professionals interact with artificial intelligence, ensuring trust and security are paramount in this exciting new era.
  • • Key responsibilities include:
