Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Lead service design initiatives for digital products and services that set new standards for clients, while simultaneously elevating their internal digital capabilities in thinking, processes, and decision-making.
- • Identify core problems in complex business environments where user needs are obscured by operational constraints, technical limitations, or misaligned stakeholder priorities, and define the right questions to solve first.
- • Design and execute end-to-end qualitative and quantitative design research—from planning and fieldwork to analysis and reporting—to uncover actionable insights that guide business strategy.
- • Translate research findings into clear service concepts, user journeys, service blueprints, and MVP definitions that align teams and drive decision-making.
- • Facilitate workshops with diverse stakeholders including clients, users, business teams, designers, and engineers to build shared understanding, foster ownership, and align on direction.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams to integrate design strategy into execution, balancing user needs with technical and organizational constraints.
- • Support clients across all levels—from executive leadership to frontline operations—by challenging assumptions, clarifying trade-offs, and steering discussions toward feasible, high-value outcomes.
- • Continuously evaluate launched services using user feedback, behavioral data, and business signals to determine real impact and identify next steps for iteration and improvement.
- • Visualize complex ideas and processes using tools like Figma, Miro, and Google Slides to enable team alignment and effective communication.
- • Work in hybrid environments including Reaktor’s Tokyo office, client sites, and remote settings, adapting collaboration methods to team and project needs.
- • Communicate effectively with global Reaktor teams across international offices, contributing to and learning from a multicultural, multilingual organization.
- • Participate in a flat, transparent organizational culture where decision-making is open, autonomy is high, and action and learning are prioritized over perfect planning.
- • Contribute to shaping not just deliverables, but also better ways of working, collaborating, and nurturing products within client organizations.
- • Engage in a dynamic, international workplace with team members from nine countries, fostering cross-cultural exchange and global perspective.
- • Maintain sustainable work-life balance through a 40-hour workweek and support for personal well-being, including mental health resources.
- • Continuously learn and grow through internal communities, training programs, events, and professional development support.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience leading service design and UX research in complex environments involving large enterprises, new ventures, or digital transformation with multiple stakeholders
- • End-to-end ownership of qualitative and quantitative research, including design, execution, analysis, and reporting
- • Demonstrated ability to translate research insights into service concepts, blueprints, and MVP definitions that inform strategic decisions
- • Strong facilitation skills to design and lead workshops that engage diverse stakeholders and drive consensus
- • Experience collaborating closely with business and development teams to align priorities, constraints, and delivery decisions
- • Ability to work effectively in on-site, remote, or hybrid team environments with cross-functional members
- • Native or fluent Japanese communication skills
- • Business-level or sufficient professional English proficiency to discuss experiences, design processes, project decisions, and methodologies in English
- • Proficiency in using Figma, Miro, Google Slides, or similar tools to visualize and advance team alignment
