đź“‹ Description
- • As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Diagrid, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the reliability, security, and efficiency of our cutting-edge Kubernetes-based cloud platform. This platform underpins Diagrid's core products, including a managed state store and message broker, making your contribution essential for ensuring business continuity and upholding stringent Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for our users.
- • You will be instrumental in building and operating robust cloud infrastructure, leveraging your expertise to ensure our services are not only highly available but also secure and performant across multi-cloud environments. This involves a deep understanding of cloud providers such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure, with a preference for candidates experienced in multi-cloud strategies.
- • A core aspect of this role involves defining and implementing industry-leading standards, tools, processes, and frameworks. These initiatives are designed to enhance the security, reliability, efficiency, and overall availability of Diagrid's products, ensuring they meet the highest benchmarks for operational excellence.
- • You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of sophisticated CI/CD pipelines. These pipelines are critical for enabling rapid, secure, and consistent software delivery across diverse cloud environments, facilitating agile development cycles without compromising stability.
- • Continuous optimization of our services and cloud infrastructure is a key responsibility. This includes proactively identifying and implementing improvements to enhance performance, reduce latency, and maximize availability, ensuring our platform scales effectively with user demand.
- • The role demands a proactive approach to documenting operational knowledge and best practices. This ensures that tribal knowledge is captured, shared, and utilized effectively across the engineering team, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- • As part of a dedicated team, you will participate in an on-call rotation, demonstrating leadership by example and contributing to the immediate resolution of any critical incidents. Your ability to troubleshoot complex issues in Kubernetes clusters and distributed systems will be paramount.
- • You will work with an open-source technology stack, contributing to and leveraging community-driven solutions. This aligns with Diagrid's philosophy of empowering developers with APIs and tools that abstract away infrastructure complexities, allowing them to focus on their code.
- • The position requires a strong coding aptitude to complement industry-standard tools, enabling the development of custom solutions and automation where necessary. This blend of operational expertise and development skill is crucial for success in a modern SRE role.
- • You will be operating cloud services at scale, gaining invaluable experience in managing the complexities of large-scale distributed systems and ensuring their resilience under heavy load.
- • The role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the creators of influential open-source projects like Dapr and KEDA, and to collaborate with a team that has a proven track record in developing hyper-scale infrastructure cloud services and serverless platforms at Microsoft.
- • Your work will directly impact the success of Diagrid's mission to provide developers with the tools they need to build and deploy applications with confidence, knowing that the underlying infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable.
- • This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of cloud-native technologies, contributing to a company backed by top-tier venture capital firms and supported by renowned industry leaders and advisors in the cloud and open-source space.
- • You will be empowered to make significant technical decisions and drive initiatives that have a direct impact on the company's products and user experience.
- • The role is remote-first, offering flexibility and the chance to work from anywhere within the United Kingdom, fostering a healthy work-life balance.
- • You will be part of a dynamic and growing company that values innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
