• As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in fortifying the resilience and optimizing the performance of our cutting-edge infrastructure. • Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously analyze system performance, leveraging advanced Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools and comprehensive distributed telemetry data. This deep dive will enable you to pinpoint and address any sources of instability, ensuring a seamless experience for our users.
• You will proactively improve the scalability, reliability, and overall performance of our systems. This will involve developing and implementing sophisticated software enhancements, applying critical patches, and optimizing existing configurations to meet the demands of our rapidly expanding user base.
• A key aspect of this role involves the development and implementation of innovative tools and automation solutions. You will streamline and enhance our DevOps pipeline, automating repetitive tasks, improving deployment processes, and fostering a culture of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• You will be responsible for the design, management, and maintenance of our infrastructure, which spans both on-premises data center environments (bare metal) and leading public cloud platforms. This dual responsibility requires a broad understanding of diverse infrastructure paradigms.
• Conducting predictive failure analysis is crucial. You will proactively identify potential points of failure within our complex systems and develop robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans to mitigate risks and ensure minimal downtime.
• You will administer and configure a variety of databases and key-value stores, with an unwavering focus on maximizing uptime, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing performance to support our high-volume transactional needs.
• Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you dissect complex systems, identify potential operational surprises before they impact users, and implement strategies to minimize or eliminate downtime.
• You will be an integral part of our incident response team, actively participating in the resolution of critical issues. Following incidents, you will be responsible for producing thorough and insightful postmortem reports, documenting root causes, and recommending preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
• Collaboration is key. You will work closely with various engineering teams, including backend, frontend, and infrastructure, to ensure that reliability and performance are considered from the initial design phase through to deployment and ongoing operation.
• This role offers the chance to influence architectural decisions, advocate for best practices in reliability engineering, and mentor junior engineers, contributing to the overall technical growth of the team.
• You will be instrumental in maintaining the high availability and low latency required for a platform that operates 24/7, ensuring that millions of users can connect and interact without interruption.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role focused on infrastructure reliability and performance optimization.
• Strong proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience managing infrastructure in bare metal data center environments.
• Expertise in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, Go) for infrastructure management and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, operating systems (Linux), and database administration.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, APM tools).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
