Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Drata, you will serve as the reliability expert for an aligned product team, engaging early in architecture and design to surface risks before they become incidents, while also contributing to cross-cutting infrastructure and platform improvements that benefit the entire organization.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include leading Production Readiness Reviews, defining and tracking SLOs/SLIs, building reusable reliability artifacts (such as observability checklists and alerting standards), eliminating toil through automation and self-service tooling, managing infrastructure requests via Terraform, participating in on-call rotations, leading incident response, conducting post-incident reviews, and designing shared platform infrastructure like reusable Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- • You will be part of a close-knit SRE team that operates as both a central engineering function and an embedded reliability practice, collaborating with product engineering teams across the full lifecycle while shaping organizational standards and practices in a high-velocity, mission-driven culture that values ownership, precision, and customer obsession.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud-native reliability engineering, advance your skills in automation and observability, influence company-wide SRE standards, and grow as a technical leader by solving complex scalability and resilience challenges at the intersection of software and systems engineering.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or building and maintaining scalable, resilient services
- • Robust knowledge of cloud computing technologies: Terraform, Docker, Git, and Linux
- • Hands-on experience with Datadog for monitoring, alerting, dashboards, SLO tracking, and distributed tracing
- • Experience building software systems as a software engineer
- • Experience developing tooling and automation in Python and/or Bash
- • Experience with CI/CD pipeline automation, specifically GitHub Actions
- • Experience with disaster recovery practices and incident management
- • Strong understanding of observability concepts - monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, and metrics - and how to apply them to production systems
- • Experience with container orchestration and deployment technologies including AWS ECS Fargate and/or Kubernetes
- • Experience working with relational databases (MySQL proficiency is a plus)
- • Ability to take ownership of problems and act on them independently in a constantly evolving environment
🏖️ Benefits
- • Shared Success: Stock equity (RSUs) to ensure employees share directly in company growth and success
- • Health & Wellness: Up to 100% employer-paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents, plus comprehensive wellness benefits and healthcare concierge services
- • Financial Well-being: 401(k) plan, company-paid life and disability insurance, tax-advantaged spending accounts, and discounted voluntary offerings
- • Family Support: Paid Parental Leave after six months, Kindbody fertility and family-building benefits, and dedicated leave specialists
- • Growth & Development: Generous annual stipends for professional and personal development, plus access to internal learning opportunities
- • Time Off & Flexibility: Flexible vacation policy, paid holidays, and perks to support rest, rejuvenation, and recovery
