• As a Senior Software Developer at Perceptyx, you will be an integral part of our engineering team based in Toronto, contributing significantly to the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of sophisticated software applications. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work from our Toronto hub, collaborating with a dynamic team to build and enhance our continuous listening platform. • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in architecting scalable, high-performance solutions that form the backbone of our platform. Your responsibilities will span the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to deployment and ongoing iteration. You will be expected to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to industry best practices and contributing to the evolution of our software architecture and technical standards.
• A significant aspect of your role will involve full-stack development. You will translate product requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring optimal performance, reusability, and scalability. This includes hands-on coding for both backend services and modern front-end interfaces, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the technologies involved.
• You will take ownership of solution delivery, providing not only hands-on development but also technical oversight and strategic planning for releases. This end-to-end responsibility ensures that projects are delivered efficiently and effectively, meeting both technical and business objectives.
• Collaboration and mentorship are key components of this position. You will work within an Agile Scrum framework, actively participating in team ceremonies and contributing to a collaborative development environment. A crucial part of your role will be mentoring junior engineers, sharing your expertise, and fostering their growth. 🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record in building scalable backend and modern front-end systems.
• Strong expertise in Perl for developing performant services and microservices.
• Proficiency in ReactJS and modern front-end development practices.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL, including query optimization.
• Proficient in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) for managing production workloads.
• Experience with Cypress for end-to-end testing and observability tools like Datadog or Splunk.
