📋 Description

• Join GoDaddy as a Senior Software Development Engineer in our Gurugram, India office, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of e-commerce for entrepreneurs worldwide. This is a hybrid position, requiring you to balance remote work with in-office collaboration, so residing within commuting distance is essential. You will be instrumental in building and enhancing next-generation e-commerce tools and services, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to empower everyday entrepreneurs.
• Your core responsibilities will involve developing robust and scalable solutions using React for the front end and Java with Spring Boot for the back end. You will be deeply involved in the entire lifecycle of microservices, from conceptualization and architectural design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing optimization. This end-to-end ownership ensures that the services you build are not only functional but also highly reliable and performant.
• In this agile environment, you will provide significant technical leadership. This includes actively participating in planning milestones, fostering close collaboration with product managers, designers, and finance teams, and effectively working with distributed teams, including those in US time zones. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and drive consensus will be crucial for project success.
• A key aspect of your role will be to lead design and code reviews, ensuring adherence to high coding standards and best practices. You will be a champion for improving engineering practices across the team, proactively identifying areas for enhancement and implementing solutions. Troubleshooting complex production issues will also be a critical part of your duties, requiring a deep understanding of system architecture and a methodical approach to problem-solving to maintain and improve system performance and reliability.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience building full-stack solutions, including leading the design and delivery of complex features or services.
• Strong experience building modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript with React (or similar component-based frameworks), and designing/consuming RESTful APIs over HTTP.
• Strong backend expertise building microservices using Java with Spring Boot (or similar frameworks), supported by solid testing practices including unit and integration tests.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code), along with experience using Git, CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions), and DevOps-oriented practices.
• Experience working in an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to continuous improvement of both the product and the engineering process.
