• • As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, scaling, and maintenance of our robust financial infrastructure. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate across multiple engineering teams, tackling critical technical challenges and contributing to the strategic direction of our technology stack. You will be responsible for building highly performant, secure, and reliable systems that underpin our embedded financial products. Your expertise will be crucial in driving innovation and ensuring the stability and scalability of our platform as we continue to expand.
• • We are hiring across several key teams, and your specific placement will be determined by your experience and interests. These teams include:
• • Merchant Platform: Focus on designing and building scalable systems that power our merchant-facing products. You will develop features that enhance the merchant experience, drive engagement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product integrations.
• • Partner Platform: Concentrate on building and optimizing APIs that facilitate the seamless embedding of Parafin's financial products into partner platforms. You will work closely with external partners to enhance integration capabilities and improve adoption, while also developing internal tooling to boost operational efficiency and customer experience.
• • Banking: Contribute to building a modern banking experience for small and medium businesses from the ground up. This involves developing products such as bank accounts, savings accounts, and credit cards, all integrated into a smooth, real-time user interface. You will collaborate with external partners to customize program experiences with features like rewards and AI, and develop end-to-end features, internal tooling, and customer analytics that directly impact business outcomes.
• • Lending Products: Take ownership of designing, building, and evolving end-to-end lending product experiences, including flex loans, term loans, MCA, BNPL, and new zero-to-one products. You will drive complex technical projects from conception through launch and iteration, collaborating with Product, Data Science, Risk, Operations, and partner-facing teams to deliver high-impact features. Your work will involve building scalable, reliable backend systems for underwriting, applications, servicing, and repayment workflows, and identifying opportunities to improve system abstractions, developer velocity, and product quality.
• • Merchant Decisioning: Drive the development of our Python-based underwriting and application decisioning product. You will define the architecture and underlying infrastructure, including technology choices and design principles. Collaborating closely with data scientists, you will build a reliable, scalable, and easily iterable platform, integrating ML infrastructure to enhance data-driven decisioning.
• • In this role, you will be expected to design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable backend systems, taking ownership of technical projects from ideation through deployment. You will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product, Data Science, and Operations, to deliver exceptional financial products. A key aspect of your role will be to continuously optimize system performance, security, and reliability. Furthermore, you will play a vital role in mentoring and guiding other engineers, fostering a strong culture of technical excellence, ownership, and execution within the team.
