- • Build and ship full-stack software products that directly impact thousands of students, faculty, and internal teams at Campus, a two-year accredited college reimagining higher education.
- • Own end-to-end product features from ideation through deployment across learning, growth, and student experience domains, ensuring measurable improvements in educational outcomes.
- • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and operations teams to define, prioritize, and execute on high-impact product problems with a student-first mindset.
- • Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Go, Python, or similar technologies, while contributing to frontend applications built with React or comparable frameworks.
- • Design and implement integrations between core platform components, third-party services, and AI-powered tools that enhance learning, engagement, and student support.
- • Balance rapid iteration with long-term architectural health, prioritizing maintainable code, clean APIs, and robust infrastructure without sacrificing velocity.
- • Leverage modern AI tools to accelerate development cycles, automate testing, and experiment with new features that improve student success metrics.
- • Participate in cross-functional planning, code reviews, and technical design discussions to ensure alignment across engineering and non-engineering teams.
- • Take ownership of production systems, including monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization for high-traffic educational platforms.
- • Contribute to the evolution of Campus’s technology stack by evaluating new tools, frameworks, and methodologies that enhance developer productivity and product quality.
- • Ship high-quality, scalable features under tight timelines while maintaining rigorous standards for testing, documentation, and user experience.
- • Work in a hybrid environment: Tuesdays through Thursdays in the Tribeca, NY office; Mondays and Fridays remote.
- • Engage in team-building activities including happy hours, birthday celebrations, holiday parties, and other social events.
- • Support a dog-friendly office culture in the New York City location.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4-6 years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend development skills
- • Proven track record of building and releasing high-quality products or features at scale
- • Experience with Go, Python, React, or similar technologies
- • Demonstrated ownership of features from design to deployment, balancing speed with maintainability
- • Collaborative mindset with low-ego, team-first attitude and experience working across disciplines
- • Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring new H-1B sponsorship (H-1B transfers and TN visas supported)
