📋 Description
- • Senior Software Engineer role focused on designing, building, and maintaining backend services for GoDaddy’s mission-critical backup infrastructure supporting over 2 million customer websites daily.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing RESTful APIs, improving system scalability and reliability, collaborating across engineering, SRE, security, and product teams, participating in Agile ceremonies, conducting code reviews, and contributing to architectural decisions.
- • The team operates a high-availability distributed system for WordPress, cPanel, and Airo AI Builder platforms, ensuring data protection and business continuity at massive scale.
- • You will deepen expertise in distributed systems, backend engineering, and cloud-native technologies while influencing the evolution of a core platform used by millions.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional software development experience
- • Strong backend RESTful API development experience in production environments
- • Proficiency in a general-purpose programming language such as Go, Python, PHP, or NodeJS
- • Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and reliability principles
- • Experience working in Agile environments and participating in sprint ceremonies
- • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and operations partners
