- • As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in 3D/CAD Algorithms at Dandy Technology, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in transforming the $200B dental industry by developing advanced computational geometry solutions that power digital design and automation tools for dental restorations, directly contributing to improved patient outcomes and operational efficiency for dental practices worldwide.
- • You will work cross-functionally to research, build, implement, and deploy high-performance 3D algorithms that generate geometry for dental restorations, create CAD tools interfacing with manufacturing hardware like 3D printers and robotic systems, and integrate deep learning models into user-facing applications to enhance precision, throughput, and user delight in dental lab workflows.
- • Dandy’s CAD team is at the core of the company’s mission to build the operating system for dental offices globally, leveraging cutting-edge web and GPU technologies to modernize an antiquated industry through innovation in computational geometry, AI integration, and full-stack application development.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in computational geometry, WebGPU, WASM, and AI-integrated 3D systems while influencing technical strategy and mentoring peers, positioning yourself as a key driver of innovation in a mission-driven, venture-backed company at the intersection of healthcare and advanced software engineering.
- • You will gain hands-on experience translating academic research into production-grade systems, optimizing algorithms for real-time performance in cloud and distributed environments, and building user-centric tools that bridge sophisticated backend processing with intuitive frontend interfaces—skills highly transferable across industries including medical tech, industrial automation, and immersive computing.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency with fundamental 3D concepts, algorithms, and mesh processing, including experience with computational geometry and geometry processing libraries such as Meshlib, Open CASCADE, or CGAL.
- • Proficiency in C++ and TypeScript, with proven experience developing and integrating computational geometry algorithms into full-stack applications, including WASM bindings via Emscripten and WebGPU compute shaders (WGSL) for parallel processing.
- • Demonstrated ability to implement algorithms from research papers or academia and apply them to real-world CAD/CAM or geometry inspection systems, with experience building software that interfaces with machines, devices, or manufacturing hardware.
