• • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. • • **Your Journey with Us:**
• • **First 30 Days: Learn the Rails, Ship Confidently:** You will rapidly onboard onto our service architecture, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and established engineering conventions. Your initial focus will be on shipping a small feature slice or a quality-of-life improvement within one of our core services. This will involve adding comprehensive tests, developing insightful dashboards, and documenting operational procedures (runbooks) for the areas you influence. Crucially, you will begin building strong professional relationships with your dedicated vertical team and key cross-functional partners. Expected outcomes include multiple successful and safe production deployments with thorough follow-up verification, the ability to run core services locally and trace requests effectively through logs and metrics, and updated documentation or pull requests that enhance the onboarding experience for future team members.
• • **By 90 Days: Own a Service Surface and Raise the Bar:** You will assume ownership of a specific service or critical capability within our product suite, with a keen focus on ensuring its production-readiness and resilience. This phase involves leading medium-scope projects, such as updating API contracts, integrating with strategic partners, or significantly improving the robustness of critical transaction paths. You will proactively strengthen system reliability through enhanced logging, tracing, alerting mechanisms, and sophisticated failure handling strategies. Anticipated outcomes include the successful delivery of a feature or refactor that demonstrably improves a key product metric, meets or exceeds defined SLOs, or enhances developer ergonomics, establishing you as a go-to subject matter expert for your designated service domain.
• • **By 180 Days: Drive Cross-Service Impact:** You will take the lead on significant cross-service initiatives. These could range from implementing a comprehensive API versioning strategy, executing a complex data model migration, to orchestrating a compliance-driven workflow change. You will actively shape our technical direction by authoring detailed design documents and providing mentorship to other engineers. A key aspect of this role will be partnering closely with product and compliance teams to navigate and make pragmatic, regulation-aware tradeoffs. Desired outcomes include the successful delivery of a multi-sprint initiative that simplifies our overall system architecture and unlocks greater product velocity, clear and measurable improvements in reliability or performance (before and after), and the creation of documentation and designs that empower other engineers to ship code faster and more safely.

• • Designing stable, evolvable APIs for core functions like custody, transfers, or issuance, ensuring backward compatibility and minimizing disruption for downstream clients.
• • Developing highly resilient and idempotent job flows for high-throughput financial transfers, complete with robust audit trails for regulatory compliance.
• • Hardening critical operational processes by leveraging hardware-backed isolation techniques and implementing stringent key management policies.
• • Improving p95 latency metrics through advanced query tuning, effective caching strategies, or implementing sophisticated backpressure mechanisms.
• • Navigating the complex tradeoffs between accelerating product development velocity and adhering to stringent compliance requirements within a highly regulated financial environment.
• • Building and integrating services that seamlessly connect with traditional banking partners and external crypto infrastructure providers.
• • **Our Typical Stack:**
• • Languages: Primarily Go and TypeScript/Node.js, with Rust utilized for specific performance-critical services.
• • Service Communication: gRPC and REST protocols, complemented by GraphQL/tRPC at the edge for frontend backend-for-frontend (BFF) implementations.
• • Data Storage & Async Processing: PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka.
• • Workflow Orchestration: Temporal.
