• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and growing our new, high-impact engineering hub in New York City. This is a unique opportunity to significantly influence the technical direction, establish robust engineering culture, and set high execution standards for a rapidly expanding division. You will be entrusted with substantial technical ownership and operate with a high degree of autonomy, driving the entire software development lifecycle for critical features and services from conception through to deployment. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, and deploying software systems that are not only highly performant and scalable but also exceptionally resilient, ensuring reliability under demanding conditions. A key aspect of this role involves active participation in technical architecture discussions, where you will leverage your expertise to make well-reasoned, data-driven decisions that effectively balance the competing needs of rapid development, system stability, and long-term maintainability. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other key stakeholders, translating potentially ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications and robust solutions. This role is specifically designed as an onsite-only position within our new New York engineering hub, emphasizing the importance of close-knit collaboration and fostering an environment conducive to rapid iteration and problem-solving.

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of experience building great products using cutting-edge technologies.
• Comfortable working across the entire tech stack, with a strong focus on backend development.
• Autonomous, takes pride in the code written, and is a creative problem solver who thinks holistically about software architecture.
• Enjoys being in the office 5 days a week for in-person collaboration.
• Experience in infrastructure and integrations is a significant plus.
