- • Leap Technologies, Inc. is at the forefront of revolutionizing employer specialty pharmacy, addressing a critical and rapidly growing segment of healthcare costs. As a category-defining pioneer, Leap is committed to transforming how life-changing therapies are delivered and financed, ensuring patients receive the treatments they need while employers benefit from fair and transparent pricing. Specialty drugs and infusions constitute a significant portion of healthcare expenditure, and Leap's innovative approach tackles this by eliminating hidden markups, broadening access to high-quality infusion providers, and bringing much-needed clarity and fairness to therapy costs.
- • The Senior Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing and scaling the AI and automation systems that are the backbone of Leap’s clinical and business operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to own significant areas across product development, data management, infrastructure, and automation, directly contributing to the company's growth and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with Clinical Operations, Business Operations, and company leadership to pinpoint high-value automation opportunities and implement systems that enhance both patient care delivery and internal operational effectiveness. At Leap, engineers are empowered to have a substantial impact on product direction, not just execution.
- • **AI and Automation Focus:** A primary responsibility will be the design and implementation of advanced AI and automation solutions. This includes building sophisticated LLM agents and robust automation pipelines designed to replace time-consuming manual operational workflows. You will be instrumental in designing and deploying AI-driven care orchestration systems, which are crucial for coordinating complex treatment journeys involving patients, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and internal Leap teams. A key aspect of this role involves proactively identifying opportunities for automation by engaging directly with clinical and business operations teams, understanding their challenges, and translating those needs into effective technological solutions.
- • **Product Development Ownership:** The Senior Software Engineer will take ownership of both internal and external products, ensuring they meet the needs of diverse user groups including clinical teams, growth specialists, strategic partners, and end customers. This ownership extends to actively engaging with users, often internal stakeholders, to gather feedback and understand their workflows. You will be responsible for instrumenting the features you ship, meticulously collecting data, and leveraging these insights to inform future product development decisions and prioritize the roadmap. This user-centric approach ensures that the products developed are not only functional but also highly effective and aligned with business objectives.
- • **Platform and Infrastructure Enhancement:** You will contribute significantly to building and maintaining critical shared services, including robust identity and authentication systems, and a secure, HIPAA-compliant data architecture. A key deliverable will be shipping integrations with essential CRM platforms and external healthcare systems, ensuring seamless data flow and operational connectivity. Furthermore, you will be tasked with designing and implementing PHI-safe LLM pipelines, developing agent orchestration frameworks, establishing comprehensive evaluation systems for AI models, and integrating with key healthcare platforms (MCP integrations).
- • **Full-Stack Generalist Role:** This position demands a TypeScript-native, full-stack generalist who is comfortable and proficient across frontend development, backend services, data engineering, and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of delivering high-quality software rapidly, demonstrating the ability to create code, user interfaces, and documentation that are self-sustaining and require minimal external support from dedicated design or QA teams.
- • **Entrepreneurial Spirit:** We are looking for individuals who have experience in fast-paced, early-stage environments, such as being an early employee, a solo tech lead, or a founder. This experience cultivates a proactive mindset and the ability to thrive without a highly detailed, pre-defined roadmap, making independent decisions and driving initiatives forward. The role also encourages the heavy utilization of AI tools within your own development workflow, fostering innovation and efficiency.
