• As a Senior Software Engineer on the Agent Experience team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI-powered brand discovery. This is a high-ownership, full-stack position where you will be responsible for delivering critical features and improvements from conception to deployment. Your work will encompass the entire development lifecycle, including DevOps practices, platform selection, and the meticulous tuning of user interfaces to ensure an exceptional user experience. The platforms and products you build will form the business-critical infrastructure for our diverse customer base, which includes over 500 paying brands such as Fortune 500 companies like Lenovo, category-defining brands like Skims, and breakout startups like Clerk.
• This role offers a unique opportunity to build software at scale within a dynamic startup environment. You will be instrumental in developing and enhancing the core technologies that enable brands to connect with their audiences through AI agents. This includes designing and implementing robust backend systems, optimizing real-time browser networking, developing efficient scrapers, and ensuring the seamless operation of our cloud infrastructure.
• You will be deeply involved in creating and refining the tools that allow our customers to manage and optimize their presence across various AI platforms. This could involve developing sophisticated dashboards, building APIs for programmatic control, and implementing intelligent systems that monitor and adapt to the evolving AI landscape. Your contributions will directly impact how businesses engage with consumers in the age of AI, making this a highly visible and impactful role.
• We are looking for engineers who are passionate about tackling complex technical challenges and are driven to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into elegant technical implementations. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our platform remains at the cutting edge of AI marketing technology.
• Key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and deploying new features for our agent experience platform. This involves writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the full stack. You will also be responsible for optimizing existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability. This includes delving into areas such as real-time data processing, efficient data storage, and robust API design.
• Furthermore, you will contribute to our DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring. You will have the opportunity to evaluate and select new technologies and tools to enhance our development and operational capabilities. Ensuring the security and stability of our cloud services will be a paramount concern.
• The Agent Experience team is at the heart of Scrunch's product offering. You will be building the very engine that powers our customers' AI marketing strategies. This means working with technologies that enable seamless interaction between AI agents and brand content, ensuring accurate information retrieval, and providing insightful analytics.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a full-stack software engineer, with a strong emphasis on building scalable web applications and services.
• Proficiency in building software that interacts with or powers the web, including real-time browser networking, optimizing proxies, and scrapers.
• Demonstrated ability to design and build high-quality REST APIs (experience with Python is preferred, but proficiency in TypeScript, Go, or similar is acceptable).
• Strong understanding and practical experience with relational databases and application-style SQL, including the ability to write complex queries with joins and aggregations by hand.
• Experience with designing, building, and operating cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), including configuring load balancers, cloud storage, and message queues.
• A solid understanding of software testing principles and a commitment to writing unit tests and designing for testability.
